![]() | Here is the situation: Have clones from 21 day flowering plants. Clones placed in 1 1/2 rockwool cubes that were soaked in distilled water with drop superthrive. Have been rewatering the cubes every 48 hours. Clones in dome and cubes stay moist, maybe too moist. Question 1: I will be transplanting to soil. Do I stick the entire rockwell cube directly into the soil? Anything I should keep in mind when/if I do? Question 2: Keeping in mind that I will be transplanting to soil, how do I determine when to transplant or when the roots begin to show? Do I cut a chunk out of the rockwool cube to get a look inside? Will the roots just grow THROUGH the cube and I will just eventually see them coming out the sides of the cube and then transplant? Thanks.

![]() | yo cali ![]() Welcome to Hempcultivation.com i use 1" rockwool cubes for all my clones and you should wait until you can see the start of the white roots poking through the sides of the cube and then put into pots and cover the cube up with about a quarter inch of soil or so and away you go m8, good luck on your cloning m8 and remember, if they aint dying it means they are rooting, so be patient, some of mine root in as quick as a week and some take up to three !! hope this helps....... keep your buds dry Big C

![]() | Thanks Big. Since they were 21 days into flower, should I expect to see revegging traits, funky leaves coming out of top small bud, prior to expecting visable roots? They are currently 10 days into cloning. Still dark green on top on some, others are becoming light green to yellowish on top. Thanks.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cloning froma flowering plant is always a bit more difficult. Luckily you got the before they were all the way into the flower cycle. (3 weeks isn't even through the stretch for most strains.) When you see new growth you know the plant has adapted and will more than likely survive. High N, HIgh P is the way to go. Organic is better because you don't have to worry about overfeeding. ![]() I'd wait till you see roots from all four sides before transplanting. When you do, plant it so that it has at least its equal of soil in every direction. Live, Learn, Grow. BD ![]()
