hey hector,
i dont know if there is any specific brand that works better on MJ. personally i used rooting gel, from a hydro shop, it helps prevent air getting into the steam, which could at most kill. i think you could possibly get a plant to root without rooting hormones, by getting a shot glass (depends on size of cutting) and putting some water in the bottom then place the bottom of the cutting it the water. i use this mothod for 'normal' plants, if this method would work on MJ, the only problem is the roots, as they have grown in water, they will be weaker than soil or hydro roots, and you would have to be alot more careful when potting it. any thoughts on this anyone? if you want a pic of the water rooting thing, i will post one.

Thanks for the info i might try both of you methods taking into account about the water roots being weeker than normal soil roots, maybe a light soil/poting mixture to start growing in hey?

Thanks anyway, Hector

hey again,
yes, keep the soil light, add some perlite and vermiculite to the compost, from personal experiance, this is the best, and everyone else will prob agree. dont compact the soil, push it in only enough so it keeps in the pot. when you poke the soil with your finger, it should be bouncy and soft and not rock solid.
