do you mean you misting the upper level (leaves) but not where the roots are suposed to be growing? if you have them in soil, then the soil has to stay moist at all times.

Sorry but we have to desagree on this one, it does not have to stay moist all the time; leting the soil go in a natural moist/dry cycle works very well around here, almost 100% rooting and i don't have any special conditions

9 days in soil in not to much, some will take as long as 3 weeks to root, sometimes more...

Thank's for replies.

I read some more about cloning, and a few hours later the clones were floating in water with the air stone doing its thing. I must say that I was very impressed: 3 days later 95% of the clones were rooting.

Air near the roots is always a surprise, glad you find out for yourself...

Not that is really necessary for cloning, but it gets things faster; keep reading and improving

Aerocloner is the way to go!
permalink

For those of us that like to set it and forget it, aerocloner is the way to go. I am on my 1st grow and have successfully cloned ww twice with 100% success and minimal time and effort. Cut em, dip em, stick em in. Heh, I sound like that infomercial. By the way, aerocloning will give you a jump start on the new rage DWC if you wanted to understand the principles of aeroponics.

Good luck.

About the DWC bubbler:

I've tried one plant but it went light green/yellow.It was two weeks into veg.(in soil). It was in the bubbler for a week or so.Then I took it out and put it into soil, it's now about 5-6 weeks old and 2 feet tall.
But back to the bubbler, what did I do wrong? I used RockWool as medium, water ph5-6, nutrients ok?
4 things that i'm not sure about:
1. the water level.: 1 inch above the bottom of the pot.
2. the roots : I carefully threaded the roots through the RW and out, they were about 2 inches long underneath the pot.
3. the airpump and stone: could it be to powerfull so that the roots can be damaged.(didn't see any damage)
4. nutrients: maybe the mixture was wrong.I use Vega A+B with the recomended mix. 20ml Vega A+ 20 ml Vega B pr.5 litres of water.

I'm gonna try it again but need some help on these matters.

What About Hydrogen Peroxide?
permalink

I've got my clones dipped, cloud covered, and under the lights, but wonder if it would help to mix some hydrogen peroxide with water next time I water them?

Right now, I put about tablespoon in every gal of water for the other plants. Do you think this will affect the rooting process? If not, what vitamins, concoctions do you recommend.?
