![]() | Ok, let me get this right, you should snipp the lower branches, dipp them in root tone formula of some kind. You clone them in rockwool in solution right, under dome for a while. Do the roots grow into the rockwool? And can you transplant the rockwool into soil when they are tall enough, or do the roots have to be a certain size. I'm gonna order some seeds and I'm gonna spend good money, so I want to be able to reproduce or duplicate what I got till I have enough. Ok, say you have the cloning process down to an art. What do you do with the mother? Do you keep her in light 24 hrs like veggers? And if so, do you just keep pruning her back or what? Please give me guidance in this area, thank you, the "FREAK"

![]() | The mother is kept under veg light always. I use 18/6 but whatever you want. Keep keep trimming it to get uniform, good-sized clones. The clones are put into any moist medium that also allows a little air to permeate. Rockwool is a goody. They are kept in a warm environment, with >18 hrs light, with a dome to keep the humidity high. This lowers the water loss of the rootless plants. The roots then grow from the cortex of the roots, and spread through rockwool (or whatever) like the do in dirt. Rockwool (or whatever) can then be transplanted right into soil or into a hydro system. From clone to rooted takes about 3 weeks.

here is what i do with great results, i take slips off my best plant in late aug ,i dip the clone in warm water for a few minutes to open the pours, then i dip them in root stem#1 then put them in warm potting soil.(do not use fert. at first)i then put them under a lite for 24hrs make sure there not to close they dont like it to hot, then after about 6days when i see they took hold i put them in the sun(turn them when needed)then give them lite for 24hr for the first month if you leave them 2 long on 24hr they will stretch, cut them back to 18hr on 6 off till they get to your desired height then start your flowering stage 12/12. now if you want to do what i did 1 year keep the mother plant on 18/6 and plant it in the spring it will go thru a normal cycle and you will end up with one mother f--ker of a plant. mine was 9ft tall after i cut the roots off it was so bushy it took 3 people to put their arms around it (i have a pic but dont know how to send it on here). seed is for the birds you dont know how many males you will get what a kick in the ass when you find out half your crop is male, cloning is the only way to go. hope this helps this buds for you ,.lol

![]() | Good point on the half males thing, but I have kind of expected this from the seeds I order. But when I do get the females to flower, then I clone, clone, clone. Hope- fully enough to last a couple of yrs. I'll get my yeild, maybe not what I expect, but maybe good enough considering. And there will be a crop following suit soon after. Keep shop going until I hit my limit of 2lbs, maybe more if the garden really loves me like I'm gonna love it, then close shop for a while, then I'll just consider wether or not to keep a veg room going. Might just start all over again in 2 yrs. Oh well, if that's all I need then that's all I need. Thanks for the responses, the "FREAK"

![]() | Hey all! LB and I have had tremendous success rates with the aerocloner. Almost 100% (not 100% due to human error), and some of the fastest rooting times I've seen. A couple of days and I saw roots, longest was a week. No need for humidity tent either. Cheap to build also. ![]() | How long can the mother be in the veg state? Is a couple yrs too long? And maybe trade out mother plants at the second yr and let the first flower on out, because the stem would be alot bigger by this time and the buds like wise, am I not correct? And every couple of yrs you'll have one plant that yields a maximum amount to help out wouldn't you? I am just curious about how long she can be in veg state. The "FREAK"

By the time you have had that mother for a year, you will be looking for another strain to grow. Variety is the key, and I would be amazed if you weren't looking for something new before that mother gave out. Ohterwise, theoretically the mother can live forever. It will start to do funny things, like preflower all over, but it should stay alive as long as you keep it alive. I can't say that I have ever kept a mother longer than a year though. ![]()
