![]() | hi I am very new to cloning. I have tried to clone with rockwell and have so far had no success. The leaves wilt about 4 days after. I have just read the how to clone in seven days but have a few questions after reading other articles. Do you need to elevate the rockwell on a channeled tray, or is a flat one ok.? Does the clipping have to be taken from the 3 internode off the main stem of the plant or will any clippings from the bottom 1/3 internodes do? Can you clone from a leaf, or does the clipping need to have a grow tip? Will leaving the 1 inch rockwell in a tray of water 1/4 of a inch high work? Or are you just supposed to keep the rockwell soaked in a channeled tray and water it daily by tipping nutrient water into the tray, and letting the rockwell soak it up then draining the water out through a hole in the tray? Do i need holes in a plastic cover for it? Is it essential to have a fan? Is it ok for the clipping to wilted over a lot... does it get better... or is it supposed to stay up and look healthy till it roots. How often am i supposed to mist the cutting? Is twice a day neccessary? What temp should the clipping be in? Thanks

![]() | Yo Nene your rockwool only needs to be moist if its too wet the cuttings will wilt as they have been doing and it is not absolutly nessecery to mist spray you can clone with out this in a propagator as the humidity should be sufficient. you can take cuttings from anywere on the plant as long as the cutting has one or two nodes to root from temps around 18 - 23 degees will be ok cuttings will not go from just a leaf QHC
