A while back I read about a technique that allows one to store clones in state of "suspended animation" in a refrigerator until they are needed. It wasn't on this site, I think it was a bust article I read on NORML's site. Anyway, I searched on here and couldn't find any info but I need to get more about this technique and how I could use it. Hopefully it's not too late. A few weeks ago I thought I was hosed since all my last clones died from a horrible mold. But I got a 2nd lease on life so to speak. Tonight I was able to cut 30 non-flowering shoots from 2 very nice plants that are only a couple of weeks into flowering. I'm hoping that these shoots will take quickly and don't need to be revegged since they're not showing flowers. Obviously i can't veg and flower 30 females at once... any suggestions??Also, some advice on my cloning setup would be helpful, since I iced all my last clones. This strain seems to be very fussy and hard to clone, but the plants are hardy, fast flowering, and very sugary (only 2 weeks into flowering and many of the fan leaves are getting frosty). Getting even 10 clones from this batch of 30 would make me a very happy camper. I am using aquacoir potting soil in small styrofoam cups (I'm a soil grower), that has been moistened. I figured something with a little more mass than Jiffyplugs and a waterproof cup would help them keep from drying out. I dipped the cuttings in rooting hormone to see if that would help. I haven't had to use this on my bagseed skunks - they seem to be easy to root. I placed all the cups into large aluminum food trays that have tight-fitting plastic dome hoods. I don't have a propagation mat/warmer, but I placed the seedlings on top of my veg box, which keeps temps about 25°C. I rooted all my skunk clones on top of this box with nearly 100% success. Thanks for the help.

One of the many clones has keeled over, succumbing to the same limpness of leaves and stem, extreme light green/yellowing and that rancid smell that is what I'd imagine steamed marijuana salad would smell like after it's gone bad in the refrigerator. uke: A couple of other clones look like they're headed that way too. Any thoughts? I'd really rather not go back to seeds to grow the next generation. My lids are on, but not on tight, so it's not excessive humidity building up to rot the babies. The temps are comfortable, not too low or high. Would LOWER temps be better? Thanks.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks. 7 more dead I already started to try rooting, so I guess the fridge deal is off. I wish I knew what else I could do - this strain is near impossible to clone. I am working on a aero cloner - will probably have to get it working soon. Thanks again.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, it's sort of moot -the clones are all dead. Unless I can reveg some flowering shoots/undergrowth or something I'm probably going to go back to seed. I suppose I could get a glass of water and just shove a bunch of cuttings into my veg cabinet, see if any of them take. This is getting pathetic....
