I cut and dip the clones just like in soil, but they rest on the styrofoam with their dipped ends in the solution. Finally I cover the top with clear film to keep the humidity high. I have used many methods and found that this method is easy and simple. you should have many rooted clones in about 2 weeks and never have to change the water. Recently I have been experementing with superthrive and I believe it is working pretty well.
I love that idea! hey, is that why they call you the Pool Guy?

Hey cranky, I liked the info I learned a lot. This is going to be my first real attempt at cloning, so I am totally blank about it. I will be looking for articals on cloning, or it would be nice to chat with you in IM. If you would chat with me I can use all chat formats. I would like to pick your brain for a bit...lol Learning something new is my favorite pass-time, and you know something I want to know.

Cranky, I just wanted to come back and say thanks for sharing this. This is by far the quickest, easiest, and most productive cloning method I have ever seen. It's the only cloning method for soil growing that I've seen that works.

Started 2 clones in 16oz styrofoam cups on 26Jan. On Feb 2 they were repotted to 6" pots. Put them into 12/12 on Feb 10. Repotted to 2½ gal pots today (Feb 14). The plants were rootbound in the 6" pots.

Cranky, you da man. Thanks dude.
