I'm now ready to take clones but as the main grow has only just gone 12/12 yesterday I have another 8 weeks until the rooms free'd up.
Question is, if I cloned now under two compact 100W flouros in a vented cupboard 1 Meter long by 400mm by 400mm, would they hold out in 18/6 until the main room was free'd up in an 'estimated' 8 weeks?

.. always having to move things around. I'd take clones now as they'll take longer to root when the mum's are flowering. But only from the ones which have positive female preflower signs (the main advantage to clones over new seed is knowing that they're girlies), which you said are the strongest. They'll need 2-3 weeks before they get going, then they'll be alright in the cuboard and you can take them into the flowering lights for as long as they/you like during the light cycle. Like that they'll put on some muscle, and theorethically you could whack them into the flower room permanently in about 5 weeks from now, and create a staggered harvest a month or so after the main grow. Keep 2 or 3 in the cuboard under the weak lighting for future mums.

you crack me up bro..... i have never before grown anything else but the wonerfull weed.....but i did work for a gardening copmany when i was 16.....just maintenance,,,,,mowing lawns and pruning bushes and stuff....didnt have a clue to what i was doing mind....but now i have been growing the ganja...i see another side to me....the green side....never will i stop either.......

as for your cloneing dilema...what i do mate is take clones just before they go 12/12.....then once ya get ya fems all sorted out.....just clone them again..thats what i do.....i just keep a few back as moms but i only keep them back to use for clones then i chuck um in the bin......i only have the 2 cabs so this way suits me fine,no big mothers hanging about .

glad the guide helped yas mate... and you can start feeding clones right away as soon as they've rooted.....very small amount though ,,,,just enough to get them roots turned on.....dont want to burn them now do we

If I was to clone my partner, and then put her on a cycle, would she then yield more or just get confused at round-a-bouts?

On a more serious note, I read once about stem shaving before putting the powdered clones into soil. Have you ever done this Cranky? I have never tried nor heard of untill now but wondered if you have tried at some experimental stage?
For that matter has anyone used this technique? Using a razor and scuffing the outer stem enducing root growth?

Gonna be down to toast and green butter by the end of it. I know this is of topic, but I realised that in value terms I was smoking pure friggin gold. Knowing I'm never ever again gonna buy another half ounce of nothing is a pretty ghood feeling.

Hi Burnsy

There is no benefit to removing the epithelium from the base of the cutting's stem. It can promote pathogens and thereby reduce success rate.

It's really pretty hard to go wrong with cuttings, as long as you don't let them dry out, keep the humidity high, and keep the temperature warm.
