now i know theres a cloning guide or 2 already on this site but the one i have seen was in rockwool(no diff i know)but a few more pics in some soil may help others. using this method,have only lost 1 clone in 4 years so...ya really have to be a dummie to mess this up. step 1 this is all ya gonna need. razor,snips,rooting hormone powder,glas of water and somit to make a hole in soil with(small paint brush in my case) and 2inch pot of moist soil.(watered) step 2, , take your mom and cut your cutting on a 45 degree angle.i normally take my clones from the bottom as its good plant husbandry. step 3, as soon as you have cut,place into a glass of water(this will stop any air getting into the stem)not sure how true that is but its always worked for me  i also remove unwanted leaves of the cutting,just cutt them offat the stem,i normaly just have the top and 2 leaves on my clones.(i find small cuttings root faster).step 4, i then take my cutting ant cut off the stem(again on a 45 degree angle) to the size i need.(about 3 to 4 inch)and put straight back into water. step 5, now you can make a hole in ya soil ready for cutting to go into(you can do this at the start if yas wish....) step 6, now take ya cutting and dip into your rooting hormone.you want about half an inch to 3/4s to be coverd. step 7, now you have your rooting hormone on ya cutting,just give it a gental flick to knock off exsess powder and plant into ya soil1/3rd to half way down...and gently push around the stem to firm it in step 8, thats the hard bit done...now spray the cutting(fine spray)and the dome lid.now,all ya have to do is spray the cuttings and dome lid 3-4 times aday(just dont let the dome dry out.if plants look moist but dome looks dry then just spray dome)do this for the first 8 days but after 3 days open vents in dome(or creat a small gap for air to get in).continue to spray 3-4 times aday up until day 8- 10 by the 14th day ya should have nice healthy plants to go into vegg. hope that helps....shall post some pics of them in the dome in abit. all the best cranky | ||

| Looks good cranky. I've always had good luck going straight into soil with/without rooting hormone. Im curious, how do you treat your soil with this method? See, i dont use the dome or mist my cuttings and just stick the clones in with my other vegging plants. When going straight into soil, I like to water the soil well before placing the cutting in, and then a little right around the base of the cutting afterwards (this is to hopefully remove any air pockets that linger around the cut). Do you water before/after? at all? | ||

| thanks all.just trying to help like .. .n_d_shadows thanks...as i have good drainage in me soil i give them a good watering(plenty of run off)and leave stand for an hour or 2.and as for watering after...i dont bother.....i just push getly round the stem when plantiong to get rid of any air pockets..... thanks for the feedback peeps cranky | ||

not a soil grower but looks like it has great success.all though i used to do organics .also been thinking bout putting a clone in organic mix for a mother canidate | ||

| Mustang ,tis as easy as mate. well here they are on day 5 of rooting and alls looking good.vents have been open for 2 days now and im spraying 3-4 times aday.... cranky | ||
