![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I love your cloner. I have just worked out mine and I'm still using starter cubes. I might try your but as you said KISS, Mine is working so I don't want to mess with it so I will stick with my method as long as it works, yours is next. Sounds so easy and reliable.

heres a link to Bobbooty's Cheapo Aero-Cloner it works very well, im just trying to figure out a better way to hold the cuttings in place without any tubing, so that when it comes time to plant them, i can remove any "collars" or whatever without damaging the roots, i like your "freestanding" idea, hmm incorperating air stones in yours might be a good idea. ![]() but then again, like you say, it works so well as it is.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The only thing I am scared of is the lack of a humidity dome. I have issues with heat during the summer and my survival rate dropped way down with the traditional dome. I was not able to be home to mist them every few hours during the first few days and they were dropping like flies. That is why I started Air Layering. It works very well and has definite advantages over cuttings but I still might give your device a go too, just to be experimental. Flarn

Also, you might have mentioned earlier but what strain are you using in your cloner? Flarn

Hey Daltron, nice setup you have there, just a few questions I have. When growing in hydro, do you just have to have any medium, and it really doesnt matter? anything that is ph neutral would be my guess, like hydro rocks, perlite, etc. But it just confuses me, are you actually having success rooting clones in all perlite? Perlite is for very good drainage, so.. it just seems to me it would be a swamp, very unsafe for freshly cut clones. But thats just me, being hydro-retarded. Ive been very curious about hydro, my friend has a 50 plant system he says he would sell to me very cheaply, so who knows downtown mayby venturing in the wondering land of cutting and res, and the nice sound of bubbling. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hello downtown, ![]() thanks for stopping by...... perilitte is best known for allowing air to get in......the perilite and wick system is a very old, tried and true method of rooting cutting's......it works grrreat, very clean and healthy and simple....... before you buy this 50 plant system find out what type of system it is....what are it's limatations and plus's......after you know what kind of system it is....look up some grow journals using that method and read them........after seeing how the system works will help you decide if that is the system for you........every system as it's own pro's and con.......for example ebb 'n flow on a 4 foot table I don't like, and won't use because it requires you to grow smaller plants. when I prefer to grow large and bushy plants......what most people harvest from 15 plants on a ebb n flow table I harvest same or more from 2 plants in a bubbler system........so check it out.....

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello all, ![]() Just a quick update..........I have some BOG LifeStars going.....14 days into flower I snipped a handfull of cuttings and stuck them in the cloner.......now I was in a hurry so the cuttinngs were to large, never scored the stem, or even apply my "Root Max" gel to them......... All i did was stick them in and check the res for water, pulled out a couple of the cutting's at day 7 to check on progress......then stuck them back in the perilite to finish off.............today at day 12, potted and vegg'ing so the little roots are at 7 days and the larger roots are at 12 days......now I pull them out clean them up {roots and leaves} and use them where I need them...veg cab or the Mother room......
