iv noticed a few people in the past havnt been familiar with this idea, so i thought i would share...might come in handy for the new grower who comes stumbling in and doing things cheap and on the fly

the picture pretty much says it all...

-get an appropriately sized soda bottle, chop it in half.

-punch some holes in it (about 3-5), about 1/2" diameter.

-lightly cover the holes with your choice of tape.

-remove the tape over time to ween the plants off the high humidity.

-wipe down the inside atleast once a day to keep things fresh.

I've recently had some bad luck with clones because I didn't want to overspend ($20 for plastic!?!?!) to get a humidity dome. I had been thinking about what I could use and everything I thought of had too many drawbacks. I didn't even think of something so cheap, simple, and seemingly efficient as a soda bottle.

So I must gives thanks and bust out some positive vibery.

well glad i could help

always seemed strange to me that this was not widely used. look into most australian gardens and you will find these things scattered eveywhere.

maybe its one of those "necessity is the mother of invention" moments. we are supposedly going through our worst drought in 1000 years...its a dry heat
