I love those Knorr sauce mixes! Never thought of making it with budder. Now I know...and knowing is half the battle!

Question How long can I keep C/butter?

I wonder if anyone can tell me how long I can keep this wonderful cannabutter in the fridge? I`ve had some very nice results from this recipe, thanks again Karma, unlike poor Outdoors, hard luck mate. I dont know if you`ve gone wrong in part of the process, or whether you have some sort of allergy kicking in here, especially as you were feeling ill even when boiling it down. I`ve been allergic to alcohol for many years now, even though I use to be able to drink, and when I say allergic I do mean in a serious way. (violently ill!)
I dont want to do anything to make my body react in a bad way to cannabutter, hence wanting to know how long is safe to still use the butter. I used baking margerine if that makes a difference, and has been in the fridge, covered with foil, for just a week and a half now. Is it still safe to bake some more cookies etc. or do I need to make some more?

I'm gonna see what mammabudz says here... But I have used butter before that I had in the fridge for over 3 weeks. I would assume that you would be fine to use it, but I am not 100% sure. A week though, you should be fine. Glad you enjoyed it.

Good idea, I`d be interested to hear any advice M`budz has on this. However it seems likely going on your experience that a week and a half to two weeks should be ok, so I`m gonna put some cookie doe together and put the oven on. I`ll keep an eye open hear to hopefully get it ok`d further. (The Best Before Date that is.)

Hey all -

KarmasPayment thank you so much for hanging in here with me through this c-butter/brownie episode, you're a good man!
Thank you too IonAccel for your kind words and to Hiy for your concern.

I've had an opportunity to "process" (I hate that word) my episode.

Here a few things that helped me understand what "went wrong".

When I trimmed my plants I had 3 containers.
1. for the bud
2. for the trim next to the bud
3. other plant material

I used the trim next to the bud (and since my smoke is for my own use I trim seriously) from about 12 plants all in one batch of c-butter. That trim was loaded with trichomes.

I have made c-butter and brownies in the past and had no such problems.

I have also frozen both the brownies and the c-butter in the past.
I'm a baker and I always buy butter in quantity and store in the freezer. There is no probelm with doing so. Still Potent!!

So... it's clear to me that I overdosed on THC... I also had QC from a young man who is a big drug and alcohol user. He said he'd never experienced anything like it... was high for 2 days from slowly eating most of one brownie. Go figure!

I figure they are million dollar brownies, but who's gonna eat 'em.

Awe...you are only placing me on a pedestal to look up my dress!

Take a walk on the "wild side" and visit the Recipe section of Cheaptalk...I have a nice Chicken Kieve recipe there.

I also like to make candy and I think the Turkish Delight recipe is the best so far.

Do a Google search for "butter recipes" and a whole slew of recipes featuring butter will come up... anything made with butter can be made with cannabutter.

And of course, making canna-olive oil expands your results out to salad dressings and vinagriettes...

I also like to put cannabutter into soup...I make a lot of soup in the winter and I "doctor" canned soups -- Cream of Mushroom never has enough mushrooms so I saute canned mushrooms in a little canna budder and add some oregano and parsley and basil and add it to the soup, and then add a few table spoons of straight butter to the soup itself. A splash (1/4 cup) of dry white wine goes in too if I have it. I also add some diced peeled potatoes and let the whole thing cook covered in the corck pot for a few hours...nice slow simmering in a covered pot...

A bit of crusty bread and a nice salad and that's a dinner fopr Papa and me!

Errgh! rgh! I`ve got a couple of days spare.
Perhaps the best thing to do is work out a good dose and slice the brownies accordingly, whilst frozen. I wish I had a bakery like yours in my area.
I`m certainly not a baker, I just overdone a batch of cookies Thats twice in a week! They lose some potency but they`re still v.good, I`ve taken two tonight and the second one is building up nicely.

A question for you if you dont mind though. I always believed a heat process of any kind was bad for potency, apart from igniting it and inhaling. I`m pretty wrecked now, so I`m not in need of convincing, but when you make candies without cooking, is it any stronger? and does `nt, how long you boil the butter in the first place, make any difference?

hey just a couple of questions. im gonna make some cakes with leaves. ive done it b4 with cooking oil and margerine.

just curious why do u use water? does this remove impurities somehow>? also why marg over oil.

i use vegan margerine will this make a difference. as fats important should i add oil to it too.
