![]() | KP made me a batch of these brownies for me and my husband. My husband has cancer and enjoys eating the brownies, but can't smoke. We each had 1 brownie. My legs turned to rubber and my neck was tingling. My husband laughed for about 4 hrs till he was in tears. I then proceeded to sleep for 3 days on and off. It took that long to get over the effects. So if your gonna try this recipe.. Be careful. the green mamma

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | just curious why do u use water? does this remove impurities somehow>? also why marg over oil. You boil it for two reasons. 1. when you boil it the temperature of the margerine can never reach above the point of boiling. When you pan fry the bud you run the risk of burning the butter and, as a result, you run the risk of losing valuable THC and other cannabanoids. 2. When you do it this way, straining becomes a lot easier. What you are left with is just a butter oil mixture. This allows for a much more superb taste. i use vegan margerine will this make a difference. as fats important should i add oil to it too. As far as I know ALL margerine is vegan margerine. My friend is vegan and he eats the brownies I make with margerine. I exclude eggs for his recipe. No oil should be used. The key is the margerine will solidify, oil will not. The margerine will turn into a green disk of pure butter with little to no taste. the notorious KP

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Okay all. Here is some pictures of Cannabutter. First off, for the record... I did not have a chessecloth. Only a spaghetti strainer. As a result some small scraps got through, which sucks. I like my butter pure. But it's ok. I am making more butter tonight. Also I put it in a big pot so the disk is real thin, no worries. But you can see some of the brown water has broken through and is on top of the disk. Other then that the disk is flourescent green. There is also a picture of the butter melted (some tiny plant material in there). And then some brownies MMMmmmm Flourescent Green Disk Butter melted Any one want a brownie??? I ate 2 of these last night and they took me right out. I used Pillsbury Extra Fudge and Black & White M&M's. Even if they weren't special KP brownies my friends still said they were absolutely delicious. Enjoy KP

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thank you for posting the pic's, been wondering what it looks like. If you drink coffee, you might want to try using a coffee filter inside the spaghetti strainer. Should work. I read that while cooking it has a tendency to have quite an odor. Is it really strong and noticeable. We have friends and relatives that do not know we smoke. They have a tendency to just drop by. So that has kept me from making any so far. Have really enjoyed following this thread. TOS ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | In my experience, yes it is strong and will be noticed. A wet green "collard green/spinach" type smell will permeate your house. ![]() Trying to explain to my kids when they came home from school what I had been cooking made me realize I want to do this when I have the house to myself while making it and an hour or two afterwards as well. Luckily, once I told them I wouldn't make them eat the stinky stuff, they lost interest. ![]()

| It's always a good idea to make TWO batches of brownies, cookies, whatever... a Cann-batch....and a regular batch making the plain batch second...helps cover some of the smell * and when you get the munchies from Canna-Batch #1...you won't eat the canna-goodies and get so wasted you end up sleeping for 4 days straight and drag your butt for another 3 after that looking for comfy couches to sprawl on wherever you go and your friends know you ate all the goodies and .... uhm...well...just believe me...MAKE A BATCH OF PLAIN FOR MUNCHIES ![]() Hugz, Mama Budz | ||

![]() | I know butter will keep for a long time, but I have notice it tends to pick up a 'taste' after a while, even in the freezer. So I will try this (I got it from my MOM )Canning Butter >1. Use only highest quality butter. > >2. Heat jelly jars in 250 deg. oven for 20 min. without rings or >seals. > >3 While jars heat, melt butter slowly until it comes to a boil. >reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. > >4. Pour melted butter carefully into heated jars, being careful >not to get any butter on rim of jar. > >5. Add lid and ring and close securely. They will seal as they >cool. Shake jars a few times during cooling to prevent sep- >aration, although this step is optional. > >6. Put into refrigerator or other cool place until butter hardens. >After hardening, butter will store for 3 years. ![]()
