![]() | You can make oil from nugs just the same. Dont boild the solution, double boil it. Put it in a bowl into a double boiler and have it on a slow boil until all the everclear evaporates from the bowl. Then you're left with the oil. puff ![]()

... [sigh] too many semesters of organic chemistry and biochem... I've noticed a lot of people talking about boiling off the ethanol to reduce the hash. I would NOT recommend this. Ethanol is extremely flammable (it's a gasoline additive), and unless you are doing the boiling in a fume hood it is very dangerous. Using a gas stove is almost begging for trouble, but even an electric coil stove is still dangerous. If the solution heats unevenly (which it will) it will "bump," with a huge bubble and send solution spattering out of the container. If this hits the electric (or gas) stove, you've got trouble. You can put a long, thin piece of wood (a chopstick would work) in the cointainer you are boiling to help prevent bumping. The chopstick acts as a point of initiation for the bubbles that form during boiling. Otherwise the vapor pressure in the liquid keeps rising, and all the bubbles form at once and "bump." Double-boiling like puffajoint recommends would also help to evenly heat the solution. Hehe, I speak from experience here; the blisters have healed, but there are still some nice burns marks in the kitchen. Now I always just wait a couple days until it evaporates. But if you can't wait, go ahead and boil it, i guess. Also, before you think that you are safe because you turned on the exhaust fan over your stove, check to see where it vents. Newer hoods vent outside (better), but many just vent throughout the house (not good)

As long as you are going to boil off the solution anyways, I would begin heating it with the weed still in it if you can. The solubility of THC rises as you heat the solution, so you will get a better yeild. Then filter out the leaves and buds before you boil off the rest of the sol'n. The time it takes to boil will depend on how much liquid you have and how hard you boil it. You are going to heat until you get a thick, dark green/brown liquid. If you used 1/2 a bottle of Everclear and boiled gently, I would guess it would take about 45 min. That green dragon tastes like absolute sh!t and will burn the hell out of you mouth and throat. But it will definately f*** you up

![]() | reno, You can make hash oil with bud, but I don't think the oil is good enough to use your bud instead of smoke it. I make hash oil out of leftovers. That bud is just too good to put through that process. THC

![]() | you can put it on a cigarrette and smoke it, put it on a bowl or joint and smoke it, vaporize it, or eat it. You can also soak the whole joint in hash oil, then let it dry out, then smoke. It doesn't really matter. I don't really like the oil myself. I usually just dry the oil a bit more until I get crumbly hash. Then I put a bit on top of a bowl and it will melt into the bowl as you smoke

![]() | if you read this entire thread you will find a hoard of possible solvents for making hash, and details on how to use them. Among the possible solvents: ethanol, butane, hexane, acetone, denatured ethanol, ....
