After spending all yesterday and most of the night trimming, I have a 5 gal bucket full of good trim, some fans & stems too, from a rather large outdoor Sensi Star, some indoor very crystally SS and White widows.

I want to cook this down today if possible but I'm wondering how much butter/margarine I'll need for this lot

if I don't get a reply in the next couple of hours, I'm going ahead with my plan to mince up the 5 gal trim and cook it down on a low light, adding sufficient margarine to cover the trim as it reduces, keep that up for 3/4 of an hour and then strain it through a standard seive, putting it back into the margarine tub when cool enough.

If I use the canna marge in cookies, how strong dyou think they'll be? 5 gal trim seems alot compared to the reipies for dried bud, am I I supose I could make a batch and test them, then mix some "normal" marge in if my special marge is too strong

tips, advice, confirmation of mental instability most welcome

OK, here's all the trim I have. I decided to do a test batch first, the bucket on the right is all the little crystaly buds still hanging around the screen this morning, just enough for a test run

on to a simmer, then the lid on the pan, and 45 mins later, I squeezed out the gloop with the back of a spoon through a sieve, and put the (rather dirty looking) marge into the fridge to cool down ready for the flapjack recipe I'll post later

I figured Flapjacks would be nice, as the Syrup & Oats will mask any weedy taste (hopefully)

OK so what am I doing wrong/right and how best to tackle that 5 gal trim I have left? all/any advice is welcome

The marge did go a nice pale green colour once it cooled down, but Mrs San whipped it into the bowl before I could take a pic

We decided to make Melting Moments Cookies. This is Mrs Sansters recipie and directions

4oz Canna butter (marge)
1 egg yolk
3oz Caster Sugar
4oz Self Raising Flour (or plain flour with 1/2 tea spoon baking soda)
1 oz corn flour
Oats
  • mix the egg yolk, sugar and butter to a creamy consistancy,
  • sieve in the flour and fold it in
  • measure a desert spoon full of mixture and roll into a ball in your hand then coat in Oats by rolling it in a dish full of Oats
  • put them on a greased baking tray, don't flatten out as they spread too much, just pat them slightly on top
  • into the (pre heated0 oven on gas Mk 5 for 15-20 mins depending how well done you like them
  • let them rest for a few mins when you take them out the oven, this will stop them falling apart

Pic 1 is the mix and the coated ball you're after
