![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I liked the stick LST on the bud. I have pinned a few of my leading tops down on the flowering crew, really fills out the lower buds. the veg cabinet is filling up beautifully, very quick recovery time. skunkoid has been going through a transition process lol pic order 2 and 3 out i think lol pic 1 in a temporary cabinet resting after the jouney out of the motherland. pic 2 arriving in fairyland, gentle position well back from light. pic 3 settling into the heat pic 4 totally released sticks and pruned understorey for cloning material, pic 5 in final position enjoying the light and awaiting tinkering. have had to be gentle but she is just starting to get her head around the new conditions and is starting to turn. underneath all the foilage is a bonsia tree so what happens next should be good. the circle cages in pots are all putting up laterals, only problem being there is nowhere to go but up. so idea is either short term traaining, or maybe larger diameter messh laterals can grow ou of once directed. but the most fun i am having is with the independent sticks. chopsticking the plants lol. i will get some close up pics done of 'locking' the sticks to hold things down, but essentially the vertical stick goes into dirt, the branch is pulled down next to it. the horizontal stick then goes into dirt at a 45 degree angle on the top side of the stick, [plant top being bent]; preferably below internode. when the top pushes back up, it pushes the horizontal stick back against vertical stick. learning as i go, lol nigel

I'm running out of space in my veg cabinet. The two Big Bud clones and one Peak19 in the cabinet have almost reached to the right cabinet side. I wonder if I could just start taking cuttings of all appropriate-sized branches above the canopy. The fresh immature branches would then grow. Then we could cut again. Pressed down a few of the taller branches.

I removed all the Training Sticks and their support chain from the example Grow Cabinet plants. These plants will meet harvest in five days.

Yesterday, I transplanted the three plants in the Vegetation Cabinet to their Grow/Flowering Cabinet. To do this I ...
I noted two branches that had light deprivation damage. The mass 'Full Court Press' training had resulted in these two branches losing their access to light. Two out of the bunch is more than I would like but not too bad. The caption in the bottom left photo should be "Sticks Parallel to the Back separate front to back."

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I love this method. I'm going to try this in my flowering room. Seems much more versatile, than being confined by chickenwire fencing SCRoG, and the like. Thanks for the inspiration, scrub. Dr. Funkenstein

The aggressive 'Full Court Press' training was effective but it had a cost. The cost was two light-deprived branches that will not recover and a few spindly sprouts that will recover. But the technique was a quick and easy method to keep the three plants in a tight environment while waiting for the final, larger grow space. The plants are now in the larger grow space. I prefer to train according to a plan. Fundamentals of the plan are to Train each plant in only one direction and to Avoid training one plant over the top of another. This method let me change training path from one grow room to another. That appeared to work successfully here.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cannot agree enough about getting it all in one direction; the whole plant moves along. been tinkering, bent over long branches of skunkoid by folding into side of cage so all goes anti clockwise, i have put 2 sticks across to restrain canopy, but tops held in cage just by friction. had to slow her down and get more laterals; she will escape but the time she does she will be heavy in bud, will fold cola over edges of cage, miss new toy and cage got booted out tonight, she is to sit around and ripen a tad more then off to reveg. shame i got soil wrong, she is soooo airy, but sometimes the strugglers are best smoke. back to it, working through clones on walls now, seperating colas and branches, making them all go same way; cannot believe how many shapes and structures i have created, runticus now lives hunched over in a bamboo pyramid. they're magic so they say. sticks, sticks, everywhere there is sticks, lol nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sometimes just the smallest force--friction--will do the training job. Thanks, Nigel. All is not rosy in the cabinet. The plants are just a little less 'fresh' today. There is a little limp in their demeanor. I checked the water level and added four gallons of water. I believe that the loss of 'fresh' was due to lower water level than the plants were used to and also due to some transplant shock. Hopefully not a lot of transplant shock. We've seen that before.
