![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | excavation and construction happened around it as i went. Never again. i want the fridge to be a veg training facility; one side - sticks and chains mechanisms attached to pots, other side for clone tub and sprout socialzation centre. fairyland will have a wall of bondage opposite light, using S and c to cover a wall espalier style.use sativas. below light, hempy pots with trained indicas. must have some order, utilize space more efficiently. will send you a pic of trial pots southern hemisphere tonight. lol nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Scrub, here is progress so far. used some fridge bits. and some hempie window boxes i found at the tip to make these S and C frames.[pic 1] can train vertically and horizontally, the former using the soil as the anchor point. going to use split bamboo.[pic 2] [ pic 3] one of a dozen large hempies i also found. Will use them for flowering against wall, no wasted floor space. will paint outside white to increase reflection. bondage volunteers. bagseed so unsexed, but both off indoor commercial stock, which are proving to be mostly female. a chance i will take, lol pic 4 is 'Miss New Toy' and pic 5 - is 'Miss Freakshow'. So far the fridge conspiracy is yet to produce a male; just 2 part hermies [ one culled, the other stripped off all but one female branch, which i torture. lol pic 6 send you an update when they are under way. pic 7 is a lateral bud on an LST plant; who has just realized she is the top bud. lol nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What an unusual training method (chain and sticks)! I have a feeling this will catch on, even if it is tweaked a little to suit the individual grower's needs. Thanks for posting this ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thank you for your comments and posts, nigel and littlebitaweed. I'm interested in any application or tweak of the concept. Everyone has style and preference. In ScrOG one can tie down or pull under or both. ScrOGgers can avoid a support level by splaying branches left and right into a 'T'. These are styles. Fundamentally, ScrOG is ScrOG regardless of how you apply it. Since the Chain and Sticks is just a variation on the ScrOG method one could also tie down or pull under or both. One could also avoid the support level by splaying branches left and right into a 'T'. I personally like to train each plant in only one direction. Here I tried multiple plants each in its own planned direction. Previously I trained multiple plants all in the same direction. Training each plant in only one direction makes each more manageable and avoids 'splitting' the branches when attempting the 'T'. You can see the two plans I employed in the 'Growing' thread in my signature. The first half of this grow was with plants from seed. They were grown from left to right. This caused plants on the left to over-shadow their neighbor on the right. The second half of the grow is with clones. These were trained in the pattern described in post #4 of this training thread.

At four weeks of flowering the five clones from Post #4 have a problem. Initial placement of the clones in the Tote Reservoir and placement of the Tote Reservoir in the cabinet have resulted in a definite list to the right. The right side of the canopy is 21" above the Tote top. The left side is 18" above. The picture explains what I believe would be the solution for future grows.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I am fighting mites, so have pulled everything out of grow spaces and into house temporarily. Got to do some serious renovations and adjustments if i am to succeed. In isolation i can deal with heat, mites and dust; but together was going to be too much, So took a step back, to make 2 forward. in pic 1 you can see miss new toy was mite ridden. pic 2 miss freakshow is faring better. inside on flouros to drop temperature, twice daily spraying with water, cleaning up damaged foilage has slowed mites. pic 3. but holding off on next sticks for a few days so i can have total acess to foilage with water spray. These things are sent to try us. Thanks for your update and explanation. More to think about. lol nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Can I describe the white wire structure as a vertical screen? If so, it looks like you are using this screen-like structure to support training sticks at multiple levels. Very nice. Access to the plants appears to come from the ends.
