![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | one of the main advantages of the sticks is the adaptability, can move and remove to suit. huge advantage over the strings and wire hooks, that are a pain to attach and reattach. my prototypes are ticking along, gave them a water and feed yesterday. glad your plants are well. How long do you think you will flower? best wishes nigel

The example clones are a Big Bud strain that take 11 weeks to flower. That means three weeks left for tinkering. That's right nigel, the method is so flexible it encourages tinkering. I am glad to hear that your plants are getting along well. I am also glad that you are able to make your training task a bit easier with Sticks. I am afraid that I have made a simple concept seem difficult and time consuming. Instead of just saying Replace your fixed screen with sticks. I complicated the matter with three types of sticks: Training Sticks, Support Sticks, and Separator Sticks. Each stick type with a 'different' purpose. Some running in one direction. Others running in another direction. Some sticks are even running at angles. I could have said that You can leave the sticks in place just like a screen. Instead I put the sticks in and take them out again. I add extra levels, up to four levels so far! I could have said Stretch a chain across your grow cabinet as a way to hold the sticks. Instead I added Prepositioned Chains across the back. I Stretched the Chains with Tension Springs and have even created a Spring Tensioning Tool. There. I did it again. Bottom line, some cabinet growers may find it useful to have a flexible screen-like method to control their plants. All the rest may just be tinkering.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ...the Chain and Sticks concept is adaptable. lol I would stick with the terms you are using, you can't explain yourself in a foreign language, so don't start now. There is no problem with the way you are communicating; the terms you use describe the function and use, give clues to the application. it's your design so naturally you would describe it as you percieve it. I could use your spring tensioning tool on the spring on the flap that holds the catcher of my mower. [ one of my jobs ]. Have you considered the wider applications, a patent? All these varieties and different flowering times is new to me; it's like going from the odd centrefold to full blown porn on a multi tv screen. I knew 2 girls called indica and sativa; and now i have met all these exotic women. lol Tinkering is good therapy. Can't wait till i get it all stable here and tinker in earnest. lol nigel

![]() ![]() I'll go for that spring tensioning block patent after my current pending patent is granted. Just a hint, it is a universal building material made of pine or fir. I can't give away the specifics but in general the material is rough cut to 2" by 4" and could come in standard lengths of 8 feet, 10 feet, 12 feet. I think it will be a big seller... If the aluminum people don't beat me out first.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry I've been lurking around this thread a while now. I just wanted to let you know that I agree with Nigel. I think the way you presented the step by step instructions of your set up, could not have been any more clear. The method is also ingenious might I add .I plan on incorporating a very similar method in the grow cab I am building now. And I just wanted to thank you Scrub for posting such a helpful and insightful tutorial. Have a good week. Peace w420 P.S. Scurb I really like your avatar , it reminds me of Jethro Tull.(not sure why )

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't know why I haven't stumbled into this thread before, but this is very interesting and creative stuff. I have some HK, AK47 and Afghani I'm just getting ready to bloom, and my brain is working feverishly on what kind of setup I could put together over the next two weeks that would maximize, yet be totally moveable, and reconfigurable. This is very cool. I hope I can make my own totally tightwad version if I just churn it in the cranium for a while. Kudos, Scrub regards, Pops
