![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Paint and additional light. Good suggestions. I'm wondering, What will happen if I apply B1 (Thiamine) or rooting hormone (Indole butyric acid) to the horizontally trained trunk top? Will that encourage sprout growth? If so, will that growth provide a perpetual line of future clones? (Edit: I think that I will search the forums and perhaps post this question under Plant Food and Nutrients.)

Removed all training sticks and replaced them from left to right. To ensure that the far right 'top' did not get lost, I propped it up with a final stick below. Photo 1: Canopy after progressing 1/2 way from left to right. Resting at the half-way point is the training stick that I use to 'sweep and hold' branches so that I can place the next training stick. Photo 2: Canopy completely pressed down. Photo 3: Pulled fan leaves and small branches up through the sticks in a sort-of reverse ScrOG. Reverse in the sense that I pulled these up instead of tucking them down. Just a comment to new growers: I don't know if this is all a good idea but it looks good; seems easy; and gets the job done.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | but an interesting idea. lol dip whole seedling in it before start? flat big bud, lol. what of the foilage pressed together? air circulation? not critical, just curious lol new term, the reverse scrog. lol some tricky tinkering getting them up and through. will update skunkoid later, she has been allowed to stretch and is ready to clone. i started the 2nd layer too soon, but what i did created some fine laterals. will have a tinker after mj chores tonight; saving outdoor crop and finishing flower space has kept me occupied. lol some plants got sick of waiting and went flowering on southern hemisphere daylight. [pic 1] here is an update on miss new toy, who looks a lot healthier with a purpose in life; beyond amusing a stoner. lol nigel [pics 2-3]

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Waveguide is right on the mark as far as 'addling', with temporary training putting the plant where you want it. then when you let it go, it retains a lot of the shape; yet adjusts itself to overcome the problems of aeration and light by itself. i went to early on skunkoids second layer, but when i released her, a lot of the direction and angles i wanted were retained. playing with other plants with the bbq skewers, [ i have 400 lol], just gently holding branches in place with crossed skewers stuck into the ground. in lifting to push up and separate the skewers, the stem strenthening actually reinforces the shape i am trying to achieve. so much more flexible than string everywhere. lol nigel

After pressing down all vegetation above the screen, I released fan leaves and branches that were less than 3 inches above the canopy. Start at the left. Work, stick-by-stick to the right.
The first small inset photo in the diagram is not a true 'Before.' There the press down was already half way complete when the photo was taken. I have no actual 'Before' photo.

The canopy of the plant that you last saw in Post #70 was a bit uneven. When I pushed the top bud back, it exposed a lower, light-deprived, bud or two. The top bud; the light deprived bud; and another bud or two were all part of the main branch of a Peak19. I kept this top bud pressed toward the back of the cabinet with a Training Stick. This exposed the lower bud and reduced the canopy height. I then lowered the light about 1 1/2 inches. Photo is not very good but the diagrams explain what I did.
