![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | F&%K, I MISSED.. SERIOUSLY. Well, I F'ed up ( If "FIM" = "F" I Missed, then I REALLY FIMMED THE HECK OUT OF IT ) I went to fim my only Super Lemon Haze Feminised plant at 2 1/2 weeks ( 4 nodes ) and I managed to accidentally cut off a fan leaf under my fim point so I went ahead and just removed the other one on the other side as well.. Here is what it looks like now .The "New Growth" on top is what I "FIMMED".. But I also cut the fan leaves ( directly under the fimmed new growth ) as well after accidentaly cutting one off while fimming the new growth.. Is this plant going to be ok? ![]() My nodes are closer together than the pic.. The new growth on the lower node is taller than in the pic.. The new growth above the fan leaves on the node below where I "fimmed/topped" is about 75% ( in height ) to the top of the cut point. I would just redo it at the next lower node, but thats the 3rd node and I didnt want to do it to the 3rd node. thanks Last edited by cancer_patient1; 06-08-2009 at 10:51 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes. If the plant still has nodes underneath it then it will be ok. I personally don't top until the 5th or 6th node but that is just preference as i grow larger plants![]() Just chalk it up to experience ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Im using a 6 lamp HOT5 for veg AND flower and I need to keep them short and bushy. Plus I need them to veg for about 2 -3 more weeks before I can switch to 12/12 because I have 2 auto blueberries that are about 1 week into flowering under the same light. So, I should just leave the plant the way it is? Will the top growth be "hampered" by the cut fan leaves? Or should I redo it and just TOP it at the node below it? The node below it is the 3rd node ( not including cotyledons ) from the bottom. Thx for the reply Last edited by cancer_patient1; 06-07-2009 at 06:54 AM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Id just leave it the way youve done it. ![]() True, mighta been a little better if those fans had been left but the top should still grow in where you cut it. If the lower nodes are growing faster than the top ones it might work out for you in the end. Resulting in them catching up to the height of the upper ones and giveing you a level canopy. Id cross fingers and wait.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If the pic im lookin at is drawn the way you meant it to be im not too sure you shoulda cut any new growth anyhow. after that initial topping that new stuff shoulda been allowed to grow for quite some time before you pinched it off again. Ive topped plants 3 or 4 times before but i alwasy had to give them a few weeks in between before the stuff would come back the way i wanted it to. Might be getting too agressive with the pruning. Just let them do their own thing. No need to manipulate them too much. Mother nature has it in the bag baby! Let them go for a while and see where you stand. Just keep them as healthy as you can in the man time.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well, my thought was to top it ( cut main stem ) and the fim the 2 new growths at the same time in hopes of getting 4 actual "tops".. But of course I goofed. Last edited by cancer_patient1; 06-07-2009 at 07:41 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yea.. ive attempted to produce 4 tops.. and it is quite possible. But, there is a small wait in between. Like i said ive topped some 3 or 4 times. It can be done. I just cut the main stalk and waited till there were two good set of leaves then pinched the third. After another couple weeks i have 4 nice lookin tops comin off them. (too bad somone stole them that year before they finished)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | These things really like to grow. Despite what we do to them. I always tell my plants that I'm bound to keep making mistakes but I'm really trying my best, in my own loving, clueless fashion. They seem to be forgiving. Besides, think of the multitudes of stoners out there growing this plant successfully. Think of all those "methods" and "theories" being perpetrated on this vegetation and STILL they grow. You'll be fine. I hate it when that happens.
