Training/Bondage on Lowryder.
permalink

So the container I'm growing in is really small.... lowryder already being short.... is there any specific height I should tie it down so it starts growing at a curve?

I've read guides but they say not to tie them down until about a foot.. well lowryder is finished at about a foot.

Should I just gradually tie it down as it grows?

Yep, people train at all stages of growth. Just make sure to support the main stalk by counter tieing so you do not disturb or damage the roots.

I asked what height I should start training it at. I was telling the first poster that I already knew about supporting the stalk, not the other part.

I had told you people LST at all stages of growth, so whenever you feel it is time to get the ball rolling. Some people have very elaborate LST's starting early in veg, some just bend a couple branches in flower.

Well with this plant, if it grows 12 inches straight up It will hit the top of the container. If I can bend it so it grows 12 inches at an angle I will be able to have room for a light overtop of it.

Chances are I will have 2 pots next to each other, and each plant bending over laying down into the next pot. This way I can grow them both successfully and have lights overtop of them in the small little container height that I am working with.

But will the stalk break? It being a single stalk plant with no branches, It will need to be fairly flexible. I might gradually lst as it grows or something.

its more of hassle to start early. but the later you start, the more budsides you lose.

bend the plant over and half of it is in the shade.

bend the plant as soon as you can and then you got about 3-4 tops, bend them over towards the pot edges and you got multiple tops and they look nice too

plus you dont have to veg so long, by the time the plant wouldave reached a foot mark, most of the tops have caught up with the main top in size.

instead of starting now and having one huge top and bunch of small tops that will take about a month to catch up in size.

(unless you want just one big top and half of the buds below bit bigger than normal, and the other half gone, lost to lightlessness.)

Can I just gradually have the string pulling on it with the counter tie there so it grows at an angle. I will also have a light facing directly on it on the angle it's facing. Just as if the light was overtop of it and the plant was straight. This plant only veges for like a week everyone says so not sure.

With my limited growing restrictments, I would rather get less bud then I normally could get them get none at all cause it hits the top of roof.

So technically when I bend it, all the leaves will still be facing light as if they were upright so I don't believe anything should change...

The 2 plants will be getting light from the angle they're growing towards and light from directly above.
