I have a pair of Purple #1 Fem that I put into flower at 14+22". Within 10 days they were 28+41" and I saw a 6' coming if I didn't do something. I've never seen growth like this - must be my 65deg nights and 75deg days this time of year. I'm growing in a DarkRoom 150 with a 600W in a CoolTube so I only have about 5' of room.

As you can see, I bent her over and it snapped a little; she weeped a few drops of sweet sap at the break (I had to taste it) and within a day a scab had formed and she was pointing back up and pulling against her string restraint. I even tucked one of the other side branches under a cross branch so about 5 branches are now on the same side of the plant as the cola juts out.

The cola has grow another foot since I bent her over and I must say, is pretty cool looking. I wonder what will happen when there's a couple Os of dank (I'm an optimist) hanging out there. Oh well, she's not a frigging house plant - chop that saggy bitch down!

The weights are just enough force to keep the side branches down. I don't want the branches taller then the cola. Amd you can see where I pushed the branch under another to gently force it to that side without breaking it. It took less then a day to point up the light, which I can keep less than 6" away from the colas.

Here she is with her sister at 15days - they're both 42". See how closely I can fit the colas under the CoolTube.

Anybody ever grow Purple #1? What gets purple, and when? My lower leaves are getting a bit darker, and if I use my imagination they have a purple tint. I want purple buds!

i have a pack of purple #1, standard not femmed though. i've only grown one plant so far and mine had pretty thin sativa type leaves moreso than yours and started turning purple once the buds started forming. unfortunately it turned hermie and so i chopped it. hated to do it because it was clearly going to turn very purple but had to be done. i have another purp 1 seedling going now and hope to get a real female this time. i'll be interested to see and hear how yours turn out.

Trics are starting. And my SO agrees that there's purple tints in the leaves.

They're now 48" - both the LST bitch and her, non-LSTed sister. This is the tallest plant I've ever grown.

To top it off, I cut clones when I put them into flower and have 5 more just transplanted to beer cups.

This is so much fun.

here's a purple #1 bud maybe 3 weeks in. my leaves weren't colorful when i chopped but the calyx's and stems were.
