well well well this has to be the best forum for me...limited space and i want weed so let me ask something...
1. How far should the lights be from the screen?
2. How often should you check/train the plants?
3. How much can you expect to get from a single plant? im not looking for record grows nor am i wanting to hear peoples big dream grows....just what have you done? if you want to lie about it go away

well, noone has said anything yet, so here goes ..

1. it depends on the type of light, 430 hps, which i have, i keep about 1.5 ft from the screen, but in general, if the tops start burning move it higher ..

flouros, you keep much closer, about 2 inches from the tops of the plants.

2. this depens on the strain, some plnts grow faster than oters, and some are more flexible .. i have 3 strains, 1 is super flexy and i can leave growing thru the screen for 3 days before pulling the shoots back under without worrying about breaking branches, the other 2 i have break very easily, and lottsa care must be taken not to let the shoots have such a sharp bend or they fold .. these i have to check just about every day so the bend gently ..

note, if you do all the bending right b4 your ligts go off, the leaves/tips will reorient by 'morning' usually, so they will have full access to the light when it comes back on .. [depending on how big a change it was]

3. no idea, i got hermies and am just trying to figure out the method, but it seems that branching takes off like mad once the plant is restricted under the screen; more bud sites have access to light.

4: if you are scrog ing from seed, you might want to have a larger plant, and have the screen farther from the soil than a clone scrog .. i have 3 plants in a 1 sq yard area, screen is 18-25 inches up ..

5: if you are scroging from clones, the screen should be about 10-15 inches .. and lots more clones per sq ft. something like 1 per sq ft .. depending on the size of your clones [that would be 9 in the area i have ..]

hope that helps, this is my first grow so i am just expirimenting..

Hi guys...

As you know (or at least should ) i've no real experience in this area (scrog), so i will stick to the gereral answers.

Even considering that conditions vary so it's hard to predict exact yelds...

- 1 Gram per Watt of HPS lightning, is considered an expert number
- 0.75 Gram per Watt of HPS lightning is considered a grower number
- 0.5 Gram per Watt of HPS lightning is considered a normal number
- 0.25 Gram per Watt of HPS lightning a newbie number

This was a recent debate at CW, so i kinda remember a few details; BTW, i agree with those numbers, that does not mean less or more as impossible...
