Boz is beginning to sprout.

Hi every gowers !
My job is tree grower and i do a sort of training on pears and apple call, "Double U".
That's great for a good fructification.
Do you know it ? It 's a very popular sort of training .
I want to try it on my Durban Skunk plants.
Do you think it would be good ?
I'm waiting your feeling.

found this ...

and this ..

U-Shapes
The U-shapes ( Figure 2 ) are similar to the double cordon except that the lateral branches are trained to grow vertically. The triple U, sometimes called a candelabra, is difficult to form and requires a lot of pruning to maintain.

a good site on training i think we could all learn something =) it would also benifit in not having that Typical shape as seen from the air =) ... i would like to see pics of real plants with these patterns fully grown ..

i dunno, i just know that spreading the branches out gets more light to the bud sites leading to more bud .. this is why scrog seems to work so well .. its sortta a cup shape with a roof =)

think the only way we will find out if these forms would work is if you test it out and tell us how it went =)

I think for indoors it would take to much time to be worthwile, but it can do wonders in the hand of outside friends; my idea is to think about a way of doing big plants in a more discrete way...

Anyone has different ideas???

That's not much different from how I tie my girls to a screen. Hopefully soon I'll have some how-to picks when the nest set get started.

This type of training allows for maximum space usage. But you almost have to lay them down or do a Bog.

Smiles.
