LST and Toping used together

I wanted to start this thread. Due to the excess of people on this site that do not believe in toping. It is most likely that the majority of people is right. But in my own findings my conclusions have lead me not to believe myth and to believe Fact. I have heard many of people post: When you top, you loose potency, or your buds aren't as fat. Are your stressing out the plant to herm on you... If anyone has proof about any of the above... Please submit some document or your own personal story, or some literature on it. Because I want to learn true facts here. I post threads like this not for me to teach people. But for me to learn with great minds.... Please, I hope I don't sound like a no it all. I am an Idealist.

I have found most of these statements untrue with this one strain I have been working with. I have had 4 harvest off of this strain. And am working on my last 5 harvest. I harvested ever 2 weeks for 10 weeks... I toped 4 out of the 8 plants I harvested. I yielded 3 times as much from the LST - Trained plant. They took twice as long to veg. But patience is a virtue in growing.

The way I started my training. I started about 6 inches. I bend the tip over to the next internode and below. Then after 7 days I release. Then retie for about another week. Then I chop the tip... When I top. I top my plant to next internode down. I make sure I leave no steam left. Just chop it. I also Use a 45 degree angle. This can help promote other growth shoots In the future. Then I veg for another week or 2. So now I have about a month and a half of veg. Good veg. But my plant has exploded by that time and its time for flowering. So I keep tying down all my plants for as long as I can... Then when stretch comes. I let go. After that. My plants have formed a beautiful bouquet of flowers. And there should be no need for training there after. I have found this useful for not having the proper time to train. Training takes a lot of tying a patience. And sometimes my work schedule didn't allow that. So here is one of my plants that has been flowering for 2 weeks or so.

Sorry if I don't make sense. I try my best on these pain killers...

This is a picture of the main stem. I am pretty sure she is root bond at the moment in a 5 gallon bucket. O my... But its all good.... I'll see how she preforms. This is another bad side to Top - training. These plants would be huge if they stood vertical. at least 4 feet. YOu can see that the stem is bigger than my lighter. This plant takes water every day. A gallon and a half. ANd preferes to be feed twice a week. With heavy feeding.

This is a picture of where I topped. The blue lines show the extra limbs that came from topping. The red shows where I topped. I will post another picture of the same un altered after this.

I might have to kill this plant. I don't have room for it. But for now. I have been squeezing it in and taking it out so It can have 12 hours dark. Its a pain. But that's such a pretty plant. Now also for testers. I want to go threw a step by step experiment. With One of my plants. I have 2 Alaskan Thunder F ucks... I am going to LST 1 of them. And LST - Top the other. Just for ****s and giggles. I want to see the difference in every thing. Growth feeding. Bud formation, crystal formation, foliage formation, Easiness of the tactic, and of course Taste Smoothness and Potency. Now I can't really find out how potent my marijuana can be. But I have smoked for over a decade now. And I feel I am a walking Pot tester. I can smoke one hit. And like fine wine. I could explain it to a tee.... So. I hope this helps someone. If anything. This is going to help me. Hash out something's I want to keep going in my garden. And something's I can do with out.... Later.

topping doesn't decrease potency at all.

I need to know exactly where to top plants. I too am going to lst and top one plant, and lst the other one. I have read so many threads about lst and topping/fim that my head is spinning. Can someone please give me an illistration, picture, or detailed description of where to top? I am about to tie these ladies down, probably tomorrow, maybe tonight.
