A poll for the SOGers out there (average figures where applicable): 1) How many clones per square feet do you plant? 2) How tall are the clippings you take from the mother plants? 3) How tall are your clones when you initiate 12/12? 4) How much does your set up yield per square foot? 5) What are your three favourite SOG strains?

1) 4 /sq. ft. 2) About 2" 3) About 3", I use rockwool so as soon as they have rooted a large cube 4) Yet to find out at this size but you can see the plants if you click on the 3 in my sig. I vegged a week longer last time and got a pound from 8 plants but there was a lot of trimming and smaller buds. This time they're more compact and will yield about 1.5 Oz each of higher quality bud, I reckon .5) Only tried Green Spirit and Mazar so far. Green spirit is very compact and good for low height setups...2 ft of bud from top to bottom. The mazar was an experiment this time but is a very fast grower. Next time it will be all maz so ask me in a couple of months!

![]() | 4 per square foot taken at 6-9 inches forced at 7-10 inches last grow damn near 4oz per square foot only grown one strain, told it was "Citrol" by the guy who gave it to me. Strong sativa high, big semi-fluffy buds, flowers in about 65 days, and very stretchy. Flowered some at 12 inches and they finished at 4-5 feet tall, a lot of stem but man what a sight! And that was with PureBlendPro+Liquid Karma&Cal-Mag. Going to try Euphoria soon, anyone else done Euphoria SOG styleee?

I asked these questions because I suspected there would be a wide range of figures in response. For example, I've read of some people doing 9 per square foot in 2L pop bottles and others doing one per square foot in 3 gallon pots. I've also read that some people veg for a few weeks and others force flowering immediately. I've also heard a wide range of yield results. I guess you see what I'm getting at. I'm new to growing and am in the 2nd week of flowering, so I'll answer the questions albeit with very limited experience. 1) I have opted for 4 per sqft. 2) I took the largest 20 I could find. The largest were 8 inch cola clippings, the smallest 5 inch side branches. 3) I put these gals on 18/6 for about a week until I was sure there were good roots in the soil. Yikes...they grow fast. I buried most of the stem of my largest clone and it stood at 5.5 inches at the onset of 12/12. Now it stands at 14"+ only 2 weeks later. 4) Obviously I can't comment on yield. With 400hps in only 4 sqfeet for my first grow I hope to obtain 1/3 of an oz off each plant for appx 5oz total. However, I've been told that once I get it down, with a good strain I could get an oz off each plant. A pound off my set-up would be a dream.... 5) I am growing out what I believe to be Jack Herer clones. Can't be sure because it's bagseed. However, my dealer remembers the grower mentioning that it was: "Jack something - it won some cup in Amsterdam". I can only hope the genes are good. I am growing out 6 AK47 seedlings and I hope in incorporate some clones next round.

Clones are put straight into flower, as soon as they root, without any veg at all. This allows high numbers of small plants/sq. ft. to get more light resulting in more compact plants with bud from top to bottom. The veg time really affects the spacing, 4/sq. ft. needs to be done with small plants with minimal side branching. If they're too big, they crowd each other out and you get straggly buds....that sort of "shaved dog" look where there's a big hairy head with a skinny little body! ![]()

4 Per square ft 3 inches 4-5 inches Around 1.5 oz I've only done NL#5Xa and White Widow. Though I can see WW being a long time SOG fave And agree with Tobi. True Sog is no veg time at all Cheers Xjo ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | great idea for a thread Jork ![]() i didnt have much time to post when i replied before, i just wanted to add that those figures are from soil in 3 gallon buckets outdoors at 28ºN. this winter ill be building some hydro systems to flower in, so my spacing will change to about 2 plants/sq.ft. and the yield should rise considerably ![]() you should meet your target easily, just pay attentionto the plants and search the forum thoroughly before deciding to do anything to them ![]()
