Ok the height I have to work with is about 20"
The width is about 18"
and the length is 38"

The lamp takes up about 6" the trey I have is about 5" high and I have 2 1/2 of soil. so from the top of the soil to the ligh is about 11 1/2"
I have 55w grow light for now, just bought a 70w HPS lamp but now I need a mallast. After I get that I will switch over. I was think of putting my screen 4" below the light which leaves my plants 7 1/2" to grow. Is this enough soil? Is this enough room? What should I do? How big of gaps should I have in my screen? 2" x 2" or 3" x 3", or larger? I'm new at this so please give me any tips you can.

wait until you get the ballast for you HPS light before trying to grow.
