HeadCrash is beginning to sprout.

Ok I have posted here ealierbut no one posted anything.
My grow box is 1 1/2' high, 1 1/2' wide, and 3 1/2' Long.
I have a 70w HPS and a 55w Plant Light.
I have a 6"x6"x18" Tray pot, and 3 6" pots. Right now I have one plant in one of the 6" pots, she's about 1 1/4" tall. I almost lost her due to lack of water... I came home and she was totally on her side, she is slowly recovering now. I have 3 new sprouts in the tray, and 3 new sprouts in another 6" pot. I'm gonna pick of the 3 that I think will grow the best and put them each in a 6" pot and dump the rest. I am planning to go with scrog. Due to my space limitations I am trying to figure out how high to put my screen... My HPS takes about 4" of space on the top. I have 5" of soil in all my pots. so that leaves 11" from soil to light. I heard that I need to put my screen 3 or 4" away from the light. Is this true? If it is I would end up with 7 or 8" of grow space is this enough? Any comments and suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
HeadCrash

Hey HeadCrash....I was hopin' maybe someone else would have alternatives for ya.

You want to put the screen about 6-8" above your planting medium. This gives room for your plant to branch and for you to get your hands in there to work with them.

I still say that you don't have enough headroom. I have been trying to think of a different way to do it...no luck...yet

Unhappy

Sorry bud...but no, I don't think so. Even with intensive training and and a screen.....4" just isn't enough room to get any kind of decent harvest. The plants would just have absolutely no room to grow anywhere.

The best I can offer is a SOG or ScROG. Even using those methods...you STILL dont have enough room.

Here is an idea...stand your box up vertically. So it is 3 1/2 ft tall. If it is 1.5 by 1.5 that is 3 sq.ft. That would give you enough sq. ft. to do 3 plants in the SOG method. Don't forget to vent.
