im not sure of the size of the grow pots, but would like to grow 4 clones psft.
can i just use 16- 6" pots, or is that to small for the plant/roots? thanx

I'm moving to a SOG style grow shortly and I'm using 5" square pots. I've been modelling what I'm going to off Ozgrowa's SOG the Planet thread. I believe he's got 8" pots that flood to 3" giving him about 150 cubic inches of root space (minus his medium). My 5" pots will probably flood to 4" or so. That gives me about 100 cubic inches (minus medium). So you should be fine with 6" pots if you flood high enough or can get enough of your medium wet.

i was thinking of using soil, so as to avoid the pumps, airators, jets, ph, temps., etc.
how about 6" soil pots? is that o.k. for sog?

I'm not sure about a soil SOG, I think you may need to water them often since there isn't a lot of medium to hold water. With a pump and timer you can time the waterings to spread out during the day so they don't dry out too much. I'd say give it a try and see how it comes out!
