Not really....the holes are not big enough for the buds to poke through and get some decent growth. Get some of the 2 inch wire....its really cheap.

And Welcome to HC.com if ya havent been already

Thanks

Thanks for the info and the welcome...
You guys kick ass... This is by far the most informative marijuana site on the net that i have found. I dont live anywhere near a hardware store or anything that would sell the 2 inch so i think im just gonna use some wire cutters and cut out the wires in between and make the .5 inch into 2 inch...

Talking Ouch...

Just be careful with the cut ends. Remember, your hands are going to be in and around there for some time as you train them.

Are you scroggin' from clones? If so you can put the screen lower and let the tips grow through, then do your traing by tying them back to the screen with pipecleaners or twist ties.

Smiles,
BD

Talking Hmmm.

I've never seen ½" net, so I'll take your word for it. You basically have two options, go with you plan with the wire cutters or find something else to use as a screen. Remember necessity is the father of ingenuity, and imagination the mother. Keep your eyes open next time you'rs shopping.

Otherwise keep the neosporin handy for all the little nicks you'll get.

good luck,
BD

Unhappy warning

You're gonna figure this out yourself, but I thought I'd pitch in with my two cents. Most SCROGs use clones from a mother plant. Reason: If you get a male intertwined in your chickenwire, its hell to get it out. Even if you can get it out, it will leave a big hole in your screen. An alternative is to use feminized seeds, but they are very expensive. Evenutally, if you continue to SCROG, you are going to switch to clones. Good Luck!!

Its better, you dont go on a 12/12 lighting schedule to separate the boys from the girls, people say, coverng a branch with a dark bag, will stimulate sexing, and you dont have to risk shocking from going from a 24/0 to a 12/12 and then back to 24/0. Before you do this, as i've personally never used this method, since all my grows have been started from seed ( yep that WHOLE succesful outdoor grow! ), rather than clones. The indoor world of ganja growing is rather tempting, but WILL cost money, and as i'm doing i'm slowly saving and buying the stuff i need, and hopefully i'll have a growroom setup in september-november. Dont rush things, make sure you have everything b4 u start, because its better to pay and do something properly rather than pay and get crap
