Whips-Chains-Ropes-Block&Tackle-Straps...what is your pleasure for training tools?

Not a very serious poll, but the results may be useful.
Results are 'public'-we know where you post
Vote multiple times if it makes sense.
Have fun, play around, but save ongoing debates for another place/time, if you would

Just thought it might be interesting to gather all the materials/methods for training in a quick glance.

Post some pics if you would like. If I have missed a topic, feel free to chime in.
Sorry if this has been done before.

Thought of the idea as I was using the rubber/plastic coated paperclips in the pics. They just happened to be 'at hand'.
Cheap, quick, and easy to size-also work great as colas/bud hangers.

Talking

I learned this one from Mr. Miyagi fixing his bonsai on that one Karate Kid Movie. Coil copper wire around the stem in a helix... not too tight, not too loose, don't crush or obstruct any shoots. Then bend it to the desired shape, provided that you don't over bend the stem and damage your baby. It's the S**T. No cutting pressure points like some tie-downs, not as constricting, and very easy to do. In my opinion, less stressful on you and your little darling. I think I might never tie a plant down again.

KRASCH is starting to vegetate.
A little kink...

...never hurt any of my girls. I love the plastic coated paper clips, xyz, but I use one, tied on the end of a piece of twine, and anchor the other end on the rim of the pot with spring clips or clothespins.

I used to hang all my drying buds on the clips too, but one time I didn't check too closely (umm, ok stoned) and finished-off a bud in the microwave on top of an 8" tempered glass trivet. I ran into the kitchen when the big bang happened. There was the paper clip, still attached to the end of the bud, on top of a pile of glass cubes. Now I keep safe (yeah, still stoned) by using the spring clips to hang the buds.

GROW GOOD!!!

Great idea. I will give that a try. I have little slots in the edges of the top of my pots. Great for hooking the clips. Now you have me thinking about semi-permanent hooks and cables on the pots. Guess I should have voted block and tackle.

I went nuts with the clips today as I was doing some air-layering.

More supports than training, but you get the idea.

This idea will save me lots of time and hassle. Thanks for the tip KRASCH.

Hey all -
No pics to support it but I use lead sinkers dunked in bright yellow paint. This season coming... strings and ties and such.
Peace-

I use green, plastic-coated training wire, and lots of it. I stick self-adhesive cup hooks all over the hydro tank tops, for tie-down points.

Then as tumescence approaches, I tie them up to 1/4" dowel supports, also using training wire.

Hey flightless one, wth is 'tumescence'?
Further educate me. You are a wealth of knowledge, really. Or should I say 'fount'? Did I spell that right? Yes I am high.

High xyz

Tumescence is the bud swell phase, when the calyxes get fat. It's the stage of flowering between flower production and senescence.

xjo dug up some pics.

I'v got some twine that they use on farms to tie bales of hay/straw, just tie a loose loop around the top of the plant and the other end ties to where the handles used to be on my buckets
