Interesting ScrOG Method
permalink

I live in a neigborhood surrounded by a cornfield on 3 sides. Between the houses and the field there is a line of trees and brush. There is an old wire fence that runs in the middle of this treeline. I'm assuming it was put up by the farmer a long time ago, as it is now bent over and rusty and stuff. Well, to make a long story short, I cleared a little spot of weeds out and planted underneath the bent over fence. There is a drainage ditch type thing that mounds up so that the fence cannot be seen by anybody driving through the neighborhood. So it can't be seen from the road. I plan on training my beauties to grow through and along the fence. Unfortunately, I will be back in school a couple weeks before harvest time, but I will be back to pluck the bud. I've got one out there that is now about 3-4 inches tall and has 2 nodes now. Leaves are coming in nicely. I'm going to transplant 2 more out there tonight. Hopefully they will do as well. I've been visiting the site weekly and it appears as this should go well. I figure if I plant three I'll have a 75% chance of gettin a female. Sounds like pretty good odds to me. I'll probably end up plantin a coupld more, as I've got probably 40 more seeds I got from bags. If this works out well this year, I'm gonna spring from some good Sativa seeds next year. I love a good heady high. Oh yeah, one question. The rust on the fence won't hurt the plant, will it? I imagine not as I've seen plants grow around rusty stuff all the time. Any comments or tips on the method are appreciated. Later!

Statistically speaking, if the probability of a seed growing to be female is .5 (or 50%), then the probability of having at least one female out of three seeds is 8/9 or 89%; the probability of having at least two females is 1/3 or 33%; the probability of having three females is 1/9 or 11%. The math becomes much harder if we consider the possibility of hermies.

your plants should be fine with the rust, just make sure that too much rusty crap hasn't fallen into the soil or something. good luck!

Hi MrDizzysticks

I think you've had a brain wave the fence will keep them nice and low as you spread them out under it. if you can manage to be there once a week until they start to flower, to spread the branches under the fence, I think it will work out great. Don't forget to take some pics to post before you chop em

think about getting some slow release fert plugs for when you're away
