Hello there,
Its simply a matrix, usually of squares that the plants grow up into, as the plants grow up they are supported by the screen that covers the grden. Do a search for SCROG on this system and you will find quite a few pictures....

If you check Day 54 in my images thread, it's like page 8, you'll get a better idea. I would also search for stuff written by LabRatX, he did an excellent SCROG project that I am more impressed with than my little effort. Unfortunately I don't know the link for his thread off-hand.

Question

Hi! Im new on this board (really great!!) and new in growing..
I just wonder, when you're ready to remove the weedz from the screen how do you do it without breaking the buds?
I've seen a few pictures, and im trying myself, but at the end?

Thanks!

When you are ready for the great harvest, you go undernieth the screen and cut all the stems that you wish to harvest. This should detach the screen from the plants with all the buds twist tied or woven into the screen.then you hang up the entire screen for drying. all the buds are somehow twisted or tied to the screen at this point. once their dried, redirect your fireplace chimney back into your house, light up a fire and throw the whole screen into the fire. heeheh, instant hotbox.
just joking about the last part, but i figure thats how you do it, am i right?
peace

Many people cut the screen links around the buds so they dont have to risk damaging the bud.

I was going to try the hanging the whole screen technique until I noticed that I had two distinct phenotypes under my screen. Since I want to keep them distinct, in case they differ in their high, instead I am going to use wire-clippers to snip the screen away from my bud. Then I can cut and hang-to-dry the buds and keep them separate from each other.

I understand that LabRatX also clipped his screen away from the buds.
