I found the Medicinal "Plant # calculation" very interesting. They use a formula to determine the maximum number of plants each grower is allowed. The formula changes for plants grown indoors or outdoors(or a combination of both). I'll do an "indoor example" based on my usage.


A = Daily prescribed dosage(we'll call mine 2g)
B = 30g expected yield per plant
C = 1 (representing one single cycle from seed to harvest)
D = Maximum # of plants
E = Maximum dried MJ(in grams)


D = [ (A x 365) / (B x 3C) ] x 1.2
D = [ (2 x 365) / (30 x 3) ] x 1.2
D = (730 / 90) x 1.2
D = 8.11 x 1.2
D = 9.73

So, as a medicinal user, I would be allowed 10 plants(they round up). I'm curious how they generated this equation. I understand evrything but the 1.2? Where did that number come from? Any thoughts?

Now for the maximun allowable amount of dried MJ:

E = D x B x 1.5
E = 9.73 x 30 x 1.5
E = 437.85g

Holy sh*t...med users(on a 2g per day prescription) can have a little over a pound of bud in their home.

Any canadian med users out there? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on all this...

The reason "home-grown" is no longer synonymous with "schwag" is because of the control indoor growers have over the plant environment. Over the last few decades, we have learned what the near-ideal environment is for MJ cultivation. To paraphrase a genious, "We stand on the shoulders of giants".

i think the 1.2 is just so u have a lil extra if u miscalculate how much to do a day or most likely if u get a bad harvest or if 1 of ur plants die it will make up for it

but what do i know...
