![]() | I am not sure that anyone knows that. https is secure but the site/server would have to support it for instance https://www.yahoo.com/ obviously does not work but http://www.yahoo.com/ does

![]() | When you log onto https://hempcultivation.com, it says "you are requesting a secure page that contains insecure information." What is the insecure information? ads? Can the isp see that you are surfing here? I do trust you guys, I just don't trust the system. You feel me? peace

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thats a certificate~ The SSL encrypted page doesn't have one. Rick already paid for one for the non-encrypted site, its just a kind of "guarantee" service done by a private company. It costs $. It doesn't affect your security whatsoever... ![]() Rick can answer this in more detail, but its not a biggie ![]() OMM

![]() | Thank you for the links. I learned the difference of ssl and s-http. I am still unable to figure out what the unencrypted information is that my browser says the page contains. The little lock at the bottom is broken. Is that because you have a self signed certificate? I am just a little extra paranoid about my privacy is all. I don't mean to beat a dead horse (or any horse for that matter). Anyone that beats horses should be ashamed of themselves! peace ![]()

![]() | I work in the I.T Field and I know the authorities can find out where you are posting from with little effort at all. Some I.S.P.s will resist handing over information about customers but they have no problems whatsoever selling their lists to the D.E.A. or anyone else that wants to buy em'. With that being the case, they'll get the info they want. Once the know who you are they will review your credit card history, electric bills, etc. Once they feel they have enough evidence to ask for a search warrant they will visit you very late at night or early in the morning, trash your house, take your growing equiptment, impound your PC as evidence, and throw your sorry butt in jail without blinking an eye. I recently attempted my first grow and started a journal with pics. Once I began posting pics of the females in early flower development the site needed maintenance. Twice, immediately following the posting of these pics, the site went down. This morning, my phone rang twice with the caller I.D. blocked out. I was able to retrieve the number and called it back - it was the cops. I also have a firewall on my PC. My last report (This A.M.) showed unknown traffic was trying to access my PC. The software from my I.S.P. also began reporting errors. On top of this, the posts of my journal are now out of order - beginning from when I posted pics of female plants. The names of the picture attachments were also changed. I had them named as journal1.jpg, journal2.jpg, etc. in the order they were posted. Now the names are nothing like the ones I used. It's like someone hacked into the site and tore it apart but didn't put it back together correctly. Sounds like cops to me! They don't give us credit for being too bright - we're dumb enough to admit here that we cultivate ganja. I read Rick's explanation about the "server maintenace" but it fails to explain the disorder of my grow journal or the changed names. The whole journal should have been out of order - not just the most incriminating part. I had 35 plants in my garden and that would certainly capture the attention of a narc. They might not waste any effort on one or two plants but 35 would look good on an ambitious cop's resume'. It would be naive to think the authorities don't know about this site or bother to surf it. Anyway, it killed me to do so, but I destroyed all my plants. I burned them in my fireplace and dumped the soil in a pond. I might have been paranoid but I feel it's better to be free and smokeless than to have my sphincter ravaged in jail and have all my property confiscated. I can always get ganja elsewhere - unless I'm in jail. Better safe than sorry. Besides, I can always find a new place to start a garden and not tell a soul. Not even anonymous people on the internet. It was my own stupid pride that caused me to show my garden instead of just getting as much info out of H.C.com as possible. This whole site could be run by narcs. Each post is moderated before it's displayed and they can prevent any post that says "Hey - I got busted. Watch out!" from warning others. No offense to Rick. I know I could be wrong but what if I'm not? Anyway, I still expect a visit real soon from the cops. I'll have the coffee brewing and a smile on my face. They can't bust me now. ![]()
