I have heard they have suspicious buy alarms.
Have you guys bought whole systems with no problem?
Im trying to buy a blower and filter but am kinda on the fence with online buying.

You can get pre-paid visa cards that leave no trace. Alot of hydro/seed places will ship anywhere as long as the card-holders name matches the order. They're getting smarter about stealth packaging and what shows up on CC invoices too. Over the past 10 years Ive ordered thousands of $ worth of equipment and seeds and LEO hasn't shown up yet. (No, I dont have this stuff shipped to where I grow.)

I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of grow eq. on ebay and the net with my CC and had it shipped to my house. No worries no problems. I think being paranoid is good but your expectation of government capability in recording every single purchase, even if they desired doing that, is a bit much. I think other than seeds coming from different countries the gov is in no position to track purchases. I think if you've fu*ked up otherwise and they're on to you, possibly CC records could come into play but if they're on to you CC records would just be frosting on their cake. But they would have the cake already.

I've had whole systems as well as nutes ordered over the net with my CC to my home (grow) address - no problems.

Like origref said, those charges would be icing on the cake for LEO, but not a reason alone to suspect a grow op. Systems & supplies are legal.

But I should add hubby is super paranoid. He's requested no more supplies be sent here, just go through the local hydro store where I pay cash.

I always figure that most of this kit is legit, it's the seeds that are the only give aways.

Who's gonna check on an agricultural research dept., Uni research centre address or similar?

It's SOOO simple, maybe too simple but I get stuff delivered to work (!!!) but seeing as we order so much stuff for the environment research centre I figure what better cover???

A mate of mine reg'd a company name with stated purpose of hydroponic growth research and that coverred him well (though he did do that as well).

I would die from paranoia if i had stuff sent to my work, I guess if i was the only one receiving it and the only person who saw it....but still I would always be waiting for some coworker to ask what the hell all that stuff was....

I bought seeds online with a pre-paid credit card, no cops showed up....but than again neither did my seeds!
