![]() ![]() ![]() | well obviously its being replaced thats the point of this thread...i was just looking for an alternative method, but anyway the carbon scrubber is sealed on one side and one side has the flange..the cleaned air comes through the sides of the scrubber...i need the air to go through the filter and then be passed on through the ducting to the next room...if i didnt have it in the box the air would still be trapped inside the growroom wouldnt it? probably would still stink some i have the a blower pullling air into the filter but not one pulling air into the room... did that clear things up any? ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | yes and i understand this but i still think that the air that would be put through the exhaust would still not be as clean as it is now..i should have gotten a carbon filter but i bought it before my first grow..and it worked great for the first 3 grows but i just want to be prepared for when it starts to stink because i know the average scrubber lasts around a year and thats coming up in a few months!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | But as everyone else has stated - the only thing that wears out is the carbon. The box isn't necessary. Where ever that scrubber lives it can just sit on its own. kill the box, replace the carbon. done. p.s not to mention, that box is probably SERIOUSLY restricting your air flow. carbon scrubber sealed in box = counter productive

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If I understand you correctly, you are saying that the exhaust fan from your grow area pushes air through the filter. The filter is in the box, and the box is sealed except for the duct flange that leads to your bathroom. So the air is forced through the filter and out of the box. Is that correct? grow room --> fan --> filter --> box --> exhaust duct If so, you could eliminate the box by having the carbon filter on the intake side of the exhaust fan, and hook the duct that is current connected to the exhaust side of the box directly to the exhaust side of the fan. grow room --> filter --> fan --> exhaust duct That will probably also reduce back pressure on your fan, so you get better air flow. ![]() penguin | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() | thank you thats the exact purpose of the box youre idea sounds great and i would def do it however where i live in an apt and have already cut holes in the walls and such i dont think i will be able to cut my intake hole larger.. plus there would be ducting everywhere because of the location of my exhaust hole ..but you are giving me ideas ![]()
