I remember that one. That was a huge operation with a lot of power requirements. Plus I had the feeling that it was a multi person operation. If it was a one man operation, then he/she was a busy little bee now weren't they?

the TN bust was about 2 hrs away from me so it was big news around here with all the growers.they were taking people in blind to harvest and trim but were also stealing power for the operation and thats what led to them getting popped.

You know its just plain stupid. They went to all that trouble to come up with a huge and clever grow op but didn't come up with a plan to just purchase the power legally. Hell, just create a dummy corporation that requires that kind of power load and then have the utility company pipe it into an outbuilding (garage or utility building).

yeah, thats how you do it, I've read of quite a few large operations that got busted becase they stole the electricity, I've heard you would have a better chance of not getting caught if you just paid for the same amount of electricity. Or if your going to hire mexicans anyway you could build some type of mouse wheel generator and pay a few of them a couple bucks an hour to run in place. It's good exercise.
