really looking at it, ive never seen ANY use for government, that the people themselves wouldnt or shouldnt handle.

besides we dont have government and never had, we have overlords and their representatives.

but too many people are too afraid to think for themselves, amazing how quick people are to flock around any fool that offers safety and handling problems for them, but i guess thats just the deal about evolving intelligence, we have just begun.

then again, every rebellion has found in the end, revolution meaning really turning around full circle, ending at the same spot over and over.

that we dont have the right sort of people for utopia. (peaceful, kind, loving, forgiving, generous and accepting of strangers and new things, to name a few requisites, we have some of those people but nowhere near enough)

yet anyway, im pinning some hopes on evolution hopefully i´ll live to see some of this happening, but, looking around me, though, i know i´ll never see utopia in this lifetime.

I, too, was driving one night in a midwest state and I encountered one of these random checkpoints. I didn't have any herb on me but I realized I had a pipe in my coat pocket. All the side streets on this road had marked police cars blocking them off so nobody could turn around. I had to just hope for the best. They had me pull off the road into a parking lot and they asked me to roll the windows up and had my friend and I exit the vehicle. Then they walked a dog around the car and of course he was pawing away at my paint despite nothing being in the car. In my entire life, I've never seen a drug dog walk around a car without getting a "hit". The dog doesnt care if the cops find drugs or not, they just want their doggy treat. So they let the dog inside my car and it scratches up my leather, gets mud all over the car, etc. and they find nothing illegal. For some odd reason, they never searched ME, just my car. So the bowl was never discovered.

I don't think drug dogs should even be legal for police to use. They only serve one purpose: giving cops probable cause that they don't already have. The problem is, the dog is gonna paw at the car or jump up on it, or whatever, regardless of if there are drugs inside. Making it highly inaccurate and, as I said, generally just a fool-proof tool that cops use to search your car.

yeah, the whole drug dog thing is BS, no doubt they can probably just tug on the dogs collar, or some type of secret command to make the dog bark and yelp like there is something in the car if they want to. You can't trust the police for the most part, they know what the laws are, and they know how to work around them, i.e. the infamous "Knock and Talk".

A good lawyer can sometimes provide a paddle to get you outta shit creek if the cops screw up, I know one attorney who's gotten a few of my friends off the hook, on technicalities, my one friends got pulled over by a state trooper for having a cracked tail light, ended up getting popped for a bag of weed and a pipe. Well it turned out its not illegal to have a cracked tail light in ohio, as long as its functional. The lawyer pointed this out and the judge commenced to reaming out the cop, asking him how come he doesn't know the law in the state he works in. All charges dropped. Some other friends even had worse stuff then that and were let off for diffrent reasons, all having to do with the cops doing the wrong thing. So the moral of the story is, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS, and if you ever do get in trouble, research the laws. find a good atty. Don't just plead guilty to get it over with.

On the other hand, I have had a cop give me a hell of a break a couple times, when I was younger, me and some friends were having a hotel party. ONly one person was 21, the rest of us between 18-20, the 21 year old bought 3 cases of beer and I had all together like 2 oz's. I guess it ended up getting real loud and 2 cops showed up, came in, and saw a pipe laying on the dresser, asked who's it was, nobody said anything, he walked over, took it, and put it in his pocket. There was also about an eigth on the table, de stemmed and de seeded, the cop was like, were not even gonna fuck with the dope tonight, were just gonna take your beer and give you a ticket for disorderly conduct. Then commenced to picking up an empty baggie that was laying around, scooping about half the weed from what was on the table into it, and sticking it into his pocket. Then the 21 year old had the balls to ask the cop if he could have 2 beers back since he was 21. They obliged, I couldn't believe it. They could've hauled all our asses to jail and didn't. You know those fuckers were partying it up after thier shift was over. I don't mind though, more cops should smoke weed, maybe thier wouldn't be so many tightwad, dudly do right assholes on the force. If I could just give up half my stash everytime I got busted with something, I would gladly accept that.

I'm not gonna get into details but another time, cleveland cops let me and a friend go on a felony drug charge, we lived in the suberbs and got cuaght trying to buy off the street. He' was like "now you can't say Cleveland cops are assholes." And let us go. We even had a half a case of beer in the back seat, he told us before we left that he knew we weren't 21, and to "Put that shit in the trunk" Unfucking believable, I owe it to cool cops that I don't have any drug offenses on my record at all.

That's why cops are some of the most successful criminals-e.g. Drew Peterson

Defense lawyers and jurys are probably the last line of defense citizens have in the POLICE states of America! A good lawyer is worth his weight in gold if they can get you off! Just ask OJ, R Kelly, Wacko Jacko, etc etc.

I've been 'caught' a couple times with minor amts of weed. Basically, cops wont do squat if you are older than 21 and there's less than an oz of weed. They'll just throw it down a sewer or grind it into the dirt. Not ALL cops are really bad. But they bad ones are REALLY bad!

Yeah, I've had to deal with some real A-holes on a few occasions. One time I was pulled over at about 2 am, I had gotten my drivers licens back about 45 days before for a dui I got when I was 18, wich is a whole other story about some asshole cops (short version: was out partying in another city, tried driving home, realized i was to drunk, pulled of the road, parked behind a plaza, and went to sleep, 4 hours later, cops knock on my window, make me take a breathalizer, legal limit for under 21 in ohio is .02, needles to say i failed, fuckers gave me a dui and took me to jail. IMO they coulv'e handled it diffrently, at least i wasn't drving) anyway. I get pulled over about 2 am, in ohio, after you get your license re-instated they give you paperwork to carry with you for 30 days while they update thier computers so in case you get pulled over and they havn't updated you yet, you can show the cop your paper. well after 35 days i tossed the paper thinking i didn't need it anymore, it was no good anymore anyway. Well i get pulled over, I had 4 friends in the car, wasn't diong anything wrong, and couldn't figure out why i was getting pulled over, the cop told me to get out of the car, he put me in the back of his and informs me I' driving under suspension, when i tried to tell him i wasn't he wouldn't listen, he said his computer said i was driving under suspension, I showed him the issue date on my license wich was 45 days prior, wich trumped the date that my license was suspended, He was being a cocky asshole about the whole thing, not even trying to give me the benifit of the doubt, of course back up arrives, and his buddies aget busy searching all my friends, didn't find anything, then tells em all to walk home, only one of them lived close by, they towed my car after searching it without my permission. I got ticketed, I asked the cop if he could at least give me a ride home, i only lived 3 miles away, he then informed me that he wasn't a taxi service. I never felt like hitting a cop that bad in my life. I went to court 2 days later and they got thier shit straight and dropped the charge, but still me me pay 80 bucks for the tow. Now I ask you, what the fuck is that?

funny thing was is that they busted me for stuff I didn't do, but failed to bust me for the stuff they actually couldv'e got me for. 2 Cops searched my car, but they couldn't find the joint that had rolled down into the ashtray ealier that day, or the dime sack and 3 hits of acid i had in my secret pocket. Idiots, i think what i had in my pocket was the only thing that saved that cop from being knocked out by me, I was too afraid that after i got arrested for it, they would find what i had on me since they do more thourough searches at the station. And L.s.d is a pretty big offense here, probably even worse than assaulting a cop.

Moral of the story: Don't carry drugs on you so that if you do end up in a situation as stupid as this, you can assualt the cop and not get in trouble for anything else.

Same thing happened to my buddy on a trip to Alabama, they tossed a beer out and looked right at a cop in the woods when they did. Ticket, court, the works...

I thought if the keys werent in the ignition, they couldnt presume you were driving.
You must have admitted to driving.

I had the keys in my pocket, I remember them pulling them out when they searched me. But it doesn't matter, if you have the keys anywhere in the car, its a dui. They actually expect you to put the keys outside your car somewhere. Its just a way to give people more dui's. At least I tried to do the right thing. I probably couldv'e drove home and made it fine, or killed someone, who knows. All I know is i thought i was doing the right thing, and these assholes went overboard. They easily just givin me a summons to go to court and been done with me, but no they had to haul me off to jail and impound my ride. All I was doing was sleeping, dui stands for driving while intoxicated, thats really f'd up becasue i wasnt driving.
