dogs actually passively alert... if they are barking you are fine. when the shut up and sit down you should start worrying. airport doggies do this alot.. they run up next to you and just pop a squat. some dogs do still bark and dig/paw when they are on the scent. different scenarios seem to get different levels of profesionalism.

they started doing that here in florida, it quickly went away, atleast in my county. cops cant even have their lights off while trying to catch speeders in the dark.

Well about 5 days ago I drove through one of these freaking out, and I didnt even have anything on me. I was just paranoid for future instances about this crap actually happening...

Well I was driving and came across an orange sign, with little blinking lights that read "Narcotics checkstop half a mile away. K9 on duty" Ofcourse this sign was on a rural interstate and right before an exit. As I passed over the exit I just saw one person pulled over and that was it but I am sure the cops were hiding down there.

Luckily I had nothing on me or I may have really freaked, what a great time to not be smoking

i had a friend that was in the exact same situation - he was driving down some freeway in the midwest when he saw a DRUG CHECKPOINT sign with one exit conveniently past it. he pulled off and attempted to flush 2 zips down the drain in the rest stop but two officers got to him first. luckily he made it away without getting charged but i'm pretty sure they purposely put it right infront of an exit so the people will inciminate themselves.

That must have been quite a few years ago, since that police tactic was ruled to be entrapment.

is there even such a thing as entrapment anymore? I live in Cleveland and I've hear of sting operations were the police park a truck full of tv's or whatever in the ghetto in fron of a store or something and "forget" to lock the cargo door. As soon as the hoodlems open the door and take something out of the truck they get busted. From what I hear it's perfectly legal.

also...
if you were underage in a bar you also used to be able ask if the person who wanted to see your i.d. was a cop, and if they didn't respond truthfully and you ended up with a minor/possession of fake identification ticket it wouldn't stand up in court. It's not that way anymore.

they don't have to say anything anymore, who knows when that 'law' was discarded.
