![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | R-value (insulation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) above is a link to the definition of "R" value related to insulation its a bit complicated for me - i didnt completely understand it but what grabbed me was the "U" value info that is in there perhaps the rate of heat transfer in relationship to IR is in the "U" value - not the "R" or as i said perhaps im just not understanding ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OK - this may cross over into construction as a topic but it still relates to securty as well with the recent info - i have been debating on what is the best way to insulate the ceiling portion of my room i plan to have about 26" of over head space to use only for the purpose of insulating ceiling from heat transfer/ IR again i know most will call me extremely paranoid - but thats me i guess first - is there any reason foam would be better than batts? i was thinking i could run 4 layers of R11 (3.5" thick each) with 3 layers of air 1 between each layer of insulation and run fan between top layer or: should i just run 2 layer of R30 (12" thick each) and 6" of air between them with fan or: is ther a better way involving the foam? and at the end no matter what way i go i will cover with reflective IR block stuff ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thats is halirious, but seriously, i came across an ad for a video in a nother thread, and i figured the guy trying to figure out what he needs to do to block himself from being detected from police FLIR would like this, there is a video out made by and ex-dea guy who tells you all kinds of infor on how to aviod being detected growing marijuana, i guess he doesn't consider it a crime. it has a section on indoor growing and how to not be seen with FLIR, the website is Never Get Busted Again | Save Thousand in Legal Fees you can order it there or go to isoHunt - the BitTorrent and P2P search engine and d/l it via bittorrent if your a broke ass like me.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Actually, you want the "Vol. 2 - Never get Raided". That volume shows how to protect yourself during outdoor and indoor grows. Vol. 1 is concealing stash, avoid getting profiled, etc. I recommend the torrent on Demonoid.com tracker site. ![]() | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thatsthe one i meant to put down, but thw web link automaticly gave that title, I d/l it this morning, and just got done watching it, some of the stuff i knew, but there was alot that i did not, that dude who does that video is fucking great, he's my favorite cop well, ex-cop, in the whole wide world! I especially like the idea of grinding up your seed and stems and springlinks them all around and in your house so that if the cops brought drug dogs in they would go so crazy that the cops wouldn't be able to use them as far as the flir goes, he said you can have a 1000 wat light in your house an as long as you had fans blowing to spread the heat, a flir wouldn't pick it up another good idea was if you have to vent outside, tie it in to your dryer vent, he says alot of busts happen not becasuse they can see your grow lights, but becasue they can see the hot air your venting out of your house.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have a 70L dehumidifier but rarely use it. I have a nice ventaliation system and it stays pretty consistant. I think I paid like 300 for the dehumidifier a couple years back. I do not have the genny underground.....yet. Fuel prices vary (Propane) and it depends how much juice I'm using. But really who cares, it's worth it, trust me ![]() Peace, EMj
