Thank you Lord. Your words mean alot to me. Life can't be all smoke and no work. I've always been more comfortable accomplishing something before I shut my brain off for the day. Yesterday was my paranoia day. Good time to have it when nothing is purchased yet. Even my wife was trying to tell me I have things well thought out. And my intentions are responsible. MJ- If anything pops up that I need to spend extra on I will do it. Security is all important. Most of this is a one time investment so I can justify the money pretty easy. I would like to keep it around $1000 to get started but if more is needed for a piece of mind, so be it. A piece of mind is priceless. Anyone please chime in, I'm interested in your thoughts. This is my last step before I get going and I want my head full of opinions. Thanks much!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well....personally i spent at least $2k for my equipment and good strains. i had to construct my area (walls, insulation etc.) like yourself, i'm also hard working(business owner), we have a beautiful home and i really want to keep it. i think its criminal that in my state, i would be doing jail time and my house would probably be taken. doesn't make any sense and i get more angry by the day when i read about the war on drugs. there is, without a doubt, risk here. however, we live a quiet life, very active outdoors, very health oriented, don't do other drugs(i don't even drink), we are private people and are in our mid 40s. the only way i would be caught is by fluke...like a fire. but its a risk i take and i'll tell you why. i feel with all my heart that i am doing NOTHING wrong!!! i think the law is faaaakin bullshyt and i think our government is severly flawed. i think there are many good fine outstanding citizens just like us doing this...may the good energy in the universe protect us from the evils of our own sad government! dude....i think you'll be fine. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | you also need to think of these questions 1. Are you prepared to go to prison for MJ 2. Are you prepared to lose your children to foster care 3 Are you prepared to be a felon who cant own a gun or leave the country 4 Are you prepared to possibly lose your house, job(career), 5 Do you know the laws for MJ for your statehttp://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=4516 6 Do you have 10000 to spend on a lawyer if/when you get busted. All i can say is be informed dont listen to others who are not in your shoes and be prepared for the worst. All your questions can be answered with a google search and the answer to all you questions is yes. Yes Infrared can get you busted , yes electricity can get you busted. yes seeds can get you busted. Plus there are thousands of other ways to get busted.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | oh ferchristssakes!! quit trying to scare the guy. keep it low key, don't tell anyone, keep your nose clean and the smell down and you'll be fine. I've had cops in my house (on unrelated matters), they've stood right above my grow and no problem. they don't go looking for guys like you, you're small potatoes, if you have a whole house with 450 plants and a sophisticated system etc then worry. grow your own stuff , keep it personal, keep it quite and you'll be fine. btw, $1000.00 should be more than sufficient for your needs. Just my humble opinion DpD

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i think you have the green light Mazrim just dont tell a single soul. i think the only problem you would encounter is getting the genetics you want. well me i had a package sent to my friends house and i paid for my order with my debit card and they allowed me to send to another addy instead of my billing addy. if you do decide to buy seeds online, go to the seedbank forums n see if you cant get any info. and ive also heard that indiana and illinois are notorious for sending LEO out to the house for a knock and talk if seeds get confiscated by customs. but other than that i believe youre on your way to a successful grow

Marijuana tends to let us develop different sets and set perceptions, to see the world a little differently. To change not only what we think but how we think. Litebuzz- We are indeed birds of a feather. Thanks for your input! Serenity- I am familiar with your situation. I'm sorry you are going though your legal troubles.Getting caught is always a possibility- but there has to be a root cause as to why and how, I intend to eliminate all of those root causes before I begin. I appreciate your input. Dave, Krain and Moe- You are echoing my own thoughts. This will be for personal only- I own a small but successful business and while I'm not rich I am comfortable for my desires in life. Plus I frown on any kind of drug trafficing. And pot is the only drug I do, including alcohol. A little here and there but very rarely do I drink. I have spent the last 10 years buying my stuff from a friend that lives 250 miles away. I usually get enough to last me 6 months to a year. That works nice for staying away from the local market and for routine visits to my friends. But, the drive back just sucks, I feel so exposed. What if I get into an accident or something? Otherwise, I have had no contact with any law enforcement officer for over 15 years and have no drug charges. The only time I see a cop is when they are sponsering something through my church. Genetics will be the big trick. I have some bagseed I can get going on but I would like seeds of about 5 or 6 decent strains that I can purposely pollinate for a supply of good strians for years to come and to play with cross breeding them. I'll have to deal with a couple so-so harvests but at least I can keep my ordering to a 1 or 2 time deal. Thanks again all. Please keep it coming, even though I think I have decided to move forward with this.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 WINGO, KY - A Graves County man was arrested Tuesday after authorities found more than 46 marijuana plants growing on his property. Graves County Chief Deputy Sheriff DeWayne Redmond says 56-year old Samuel McCoy of Ray Road in Wingo is charged with cultivating marijuana over 5 plants, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCoy was charged after the U.S. Postal Service informed police that marijuana seeds were being shipped to his home. Drug detectives went to McCoy’s home where they found 46 marijuana plants growing on his property. They found a large amount of processed marijuana inside the home along with more than $100,000 cash. McCoy was lodged in the Graves County Jail. Redmon said the investigation is continuing and more arrests are possible. ![]()

Slowtoker. I wonder if Mr.McCoy was being watched for some reason. It looks like he made a living being a pot dealer. They could have had his number for a long time coming and the mailing of seeds (which they were watching for) could have been enough to spring their warrant. I take and heed the warning you give nonetheless. What I was thinking of today is ordering my genetics before I even buy any growing equipment. If LEO comes for a knock and talk I can invite him in and serve him oolong tea while I give him a tour of my home and have no worries about it. I will leave the package on the counter for a few weeks so I can say, "oh, this package. Not my name on it, I was wondering who 'alias name' was. I didn't open it because it is unlawful to open mail that is not addressed to you. Here, please take it Mr. Officer. I have no idea what it contains." I'm pretty sure that if I get away with that close one my wife will be much less supportive of this project, as would I. And would continue to do things the way I have for a few more years.
