Hello folks. I live in Canada and am thinking about ordering some seeds online ( h t t p://highgrade-seeds.com/seedlist.html ), Just wondering if there are any other Canadians who do the same and how safe y'all feel or is there another way to get some good seeds. I live near Toronto. Thanks much

You're safe in Canada. Don't worry about a thing. I doubt the cops in Canada could care less about MJ seeds.
You got more to worry about from crooked seed banks.

I'd check out cannabisseeds.com right now, their sale prices are awesome! Mixed reviews over the years, but if you're wary of paying $60 or more for 10 seeds for fear you won't get great results, a little quality sacrifice for seed quantity isn't a bad tradeoff. I'm starting to think that they're about halfway tween bagseed and the real expensive stuff. Great for novices like me.

if i lived in canada (what a great country) i wouldnet even bother with mail order as you have multiple places you could just go into and buy seeds from.

Ontario Seed Bank, vancouver islanc seeds company, VISC seed bank, etc, the list is long.

i live in the states and i usedto drive up to "Ontario seed bank" quite frequently to get my beans.

ive also done a shitl oad of mail order seeds (85% of all my seeds are mail order) and only had an order stopped my customs when ordering from seedboutique.com 1 time and nothing happend and i reordered the same order thatgot snatched up and it got to me quick and without a problem.

seed boutique and seed bay are porbably the cheapest seedbanks around and never ripp you off.

heres a real example of how canadian seed banks rape you on dutch genetics.

"i ordered a 5 pack of wappa from a reputable can. seed bank (the guys that are always on the back cover of HT and SKUNK magazine, "ontario seedbank" ) wappa is a feminized variety from paradise seeds, anyway i called themup and got the price for the 5-pack and it was $275 usd and I sent the money West. Union (xtra $35 usd, but i didntwant to wait long for the seeds) so $310 total for the 5pack.

now i know i taxedmy self 35 buck with tthe wester union payment but they still were $275 usd for the 5-pack if i were to use snail mail.

@ seedboutique.com the same 5-pack of wappa seeds were only $71.05 usd from seed boutique, which is a UK based company.

the guys at the canadian store said that "well if you want exotic dutch genetics they were $$pricey$$"

so there you go they tax you an xtra freaking $203.95 usd for the seeds. but....but..... ontario seed bank only takes like 3 days from the timethey get the payment to get to you, as seeds boutique is also pretty quick, considereing they areall the way in the UK, they average take a week to 10 days toget to you.

ive heard bad thing of green thimbs seed bank butnever tired themout for my self.

just thought this might help you outon were toget seeds in the future.

by no means am i spamming or anything,. both company;s service is good and stealthy shipping but one is just way more expensive fore seeds, maybe it is becaseu the canadian seed banks are located onthe "North American Continent" is the reason they are highly overpriced, becaeu it is a rather risky endevorany more to run a canadian seed bank that ships "worldwide"

I've grown some seeds, Hindu Kush, from them and didn't care for the quality
I've heard some good things from some of you fellas in your post about the seeds y'all get from some of these on-line shops and thought they may be worth a shot. Thanks for the responses. Seed Boutique sounds great I think I'll give 'em a shot.

Just keep in mind that you're probably not getting the "real" (insert strain name here) at those prices. Things I've recently read lead me to believe that their seeds are most likely their own genetics crossbred with (insert strain name here.) Still, as I said before, quantity comes in handy in the right circumstances. If I can get in touch with them, I intend to ask them to clarify their genetics.

Well, I was just browsing through the list of seeds/Breeders @ seedboutique and thought to myself the same thing you mention Herbal. It then hit me that some of the prices listed by SB for some strains are not too far off of the sale prices over @ CS, I ain't got a clue. I heard from a dude some time back that he had ordered some seeds on-line from some local Canadian guy and was happy with the product, so I run out and grab some from Ontario seed bank guys and well....
Man, a brother ain't got a clue - possibly a pack from each location and judge from there. I usually prefer the face to face thing when spending my money but in this business who do you complain to or about anyway?.

After checking this post, http://www.gardenscure.com/420/secur...-question.html, I think CS is out of the question - there's also a good list of on-line seed banks that other members find trustworthy and reliable. Time for a little more reading and then a purchase, lovely.

seeds boutique sends you seeds in original breeder packs , and i ordered from them every time i got seeds except for the couple times i got ripped by ontarios best, there "ontarios best seeds" suck dick and really dont germ very good but the others are good just too $$$$$$

seeds boutique is the REAL deal they dont ripp you off, ever.

now seed boutique has a breeder listed called "nirvana'a standard collection" and thats the line of other seeds banks crosses and such but they are only 25 buck a pack and i'll tel you what "aurora indica" is one of the best indicas i have ever smoked in my entire life (the purp. pheno)

all the other breeders seeds are "you get what you see" if they are from Dutch Passion then you will get a dutch passion breeders pack from them , paradise seeds , you will get a paradise breeders pack.

never the less seed boutique and seedbay are the real deal they are good prices cuzz thats what seeds really cost, canadian seed company's are "rapists" when it comes to prices.

dont fret order form seedboutique and if you get ripped of or get sent fake seeds not in original breeders packs, ill replace your money peanut butter jelly time!!

Thanks for the response friend , - but my statement, in no wise puts SB and CS on the same level but does suggest that some prices for some strains are similar. No reference to quality or any comparison to the "realness" of the companies is made.
At any length, I looked into a p.o. box today and will be going that route, puts the wife a bit more at ease. Thanks for the "aurora indica" suggestion as I am very limited in my knowledge as to what strains are kickin', any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Serious seeds Chronic and White Russian have also crossed my mind as I've heard them mentioned so often in some 'o these mags I look at. You know what, I'll post back when I make my purchase
