![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This topic was discussed in the lighting forum. The thread poster reports success using 2 26w in a compact grow or 2 budding plants... I'm currently testing a DIY air purifying bulb... my plant is 1 week into flowering and doesen't really stink though so i have no results yet. http://www.gardenscure.com/420/light...urescents.html

![]() | I use a carbon scrubber which works great but I am considering replacing all cfls in the house with one as the need arises. It couldn't hurt. They probably help rid the air of other nasties as well. My 2 cents.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'm considering removing my bulb until i'm sure it's not ozone.. and weather it's bad to have near leafage.... i thought ozone wasn't supposed to be effective odor control though the bulb seems fairly effective ... what would you use(non-de-odorizing) 26x 2700k 15w 6500k 25w 5700k i'm going with the 26 ers and 25 ers

![]() ![]() ![]() | i have a ozone gen and it works well very well ,the only thing with it is you only need it on for short bursts ,like for me i have it come on evry hour for 1 min and generly during peek flowering 2-3min max and that way you cant smell ozone but long enough to get rid of the odor and the other thing is that it disinfects the air also.but i will say one thing if you did not have it on a good timer that you couldent have it come on evry 1-2 hours for a few minits then it might not be a good idea ,you do nt want to forget that on it can be very unhealthy at a certin ppm and it also can have that ozone smell at moderate levels , carbon scrubers are great to , i now have both ,the thing i like is that it kills mold and milldue and bacteria ,but now i use both and im a very happy man you can not smell a thing any where its great ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My Home made Deodorizing Bulbs (sprayed with rustolium flat white) actually work very well... I'm in the process of coating many more of my bulbs cause they're nice to have around the house... I'd really like to test them IN PLACE of a carbon scrubber in an exhaust line though to see if they could be 100 percent effective when applied properly... I currently just have them around the plant so there's no way all the odor will run through the ionizing field especially with all the air thats blowing around in my box... that said though... for all the mass confusion of air in my box they're pretty effective.. They're also effective in the bathroom ![]()
