rural areas are great for growing, especially if you have land and a few out buildings...easy covers for high power usages in my opinion. The suburbs can be iffy, I live in them now, and have before. Right now neighbors aren't nosy, in fact my neighbors south of me are always being visited by the po'po' for various reasons (usually alcohol related) so we just look like your run of the mill college kids. I think in the burbs as long as you keep your house looking nice, yard picked up, ect--of course don't sell from your property--there is not that much to worry about. That is probably only true if you are on the smaller side of things I would imagine...

I have been a city grower since I began. My neighbours mind their own space and the police have way more important issues to deal with. If you keep it small, and make sure your exhaust (or your house) does not smell like a skunk factory ... the only way to get caught is by someone (usually you) opening their mouth.

Keep it low key and you'll be fine

I would say rural areas are best for growing, with cities second. Suburban areas are not a good place for ANYTHING. I live in the burbs and I can't even walk outside to get the paper without all the neighbors staring at me to see what I'm doing or where I'm going. When I go out for a cigarette I always have to go out back, because if I go out front, there will be some stuck-up housewife staring at me and giving me dirty looks as if I'm poisoning their children by allowing them to witness cigarette smoking.

in a city they have real problem they don't have to create them , in the city i would worry about the law stealing ur hobby more than trying to get a kill notch .

rural areas are definatley better especially if u own a farm.. u got ample fertillizer at hand... nobody will be able to smell it, and electricity really isnt an issue because of all the things that are used to support ur animals.. also generators are easy to run and you can run for cheap with coloured diesel so u have many freedoms compared to a 3 room apartment where u open the door and the whole building can smell ur grow.. if u do plan on having just a few plants may i suggest a closet with a carbon scrubber....
