The initial search took action when they had her sign a waiver letting them search. They told her that if she doesnt sign it now they will come back with a warrant at 7:00am (incident happened at 9:00 pm eastern time) and that they would not let anyone in or out of the house till they get back with the warrant.

That was a mistake. You could flush a lot of weed in 10 hours. It's been said here a million times, but never give them permission. This is about the most perfect example I've seen. They'll say anything to convince you to agree, bottom line is make them get a warrant.

Yeah, Green I feel your pain, But everyone is right about not turning yourself in. No for need in both of you to be in jail. Calm down some and try to relax. While calm you can make better decisions on how to go forward. I hate that you are going thru this situation but, we all know that with the laws we have, this is all was a possibility. Keep your head up, listen to your laywer(make sure you pay a nice retainer) and he/she will walk you through the process and ease your concern.

.Ok First off what the hell is she doing s@lling without having a clue what the laws are. As soon as she signed that seach waiver your f@cked. They were called there for something else entirely. She must have been pretty careless if thugs knew she had something that they would bust in with guns. Loose lips.... Anyway yours and hers panic sounds like it made things a lot worse. A level head always pervails. Now go to NORML and read up (something you should have done before). Next consult an attorney. They will know what to do maybe even post the bond.

For anyone that even just smokes let alone grows or s@lls KNOW YOUR LAWS!!! It will take you like ten minutes of reading to do this. Chances are everything will pan out for your girlfriend, and I know you wanted to hear none of this, but by not having a clue what you two were up to is playing with fire. Tough love it is, but would you go skydiving without knowning where the cord is? Everyone should know there rights inside and out...why you think our ancestors fought so hard for them? Sorry for the rant but everything can be avoided if people just educate themselves.

Even though it has been said before, I'll reiterate. If your girlfriend hadn't let the officer in and/or consented to a search, this wouldn't be happening. As others have said, I suggest you contact an attorney, but I would also suggest reading up on your rights.

I feel for you, I really do, but you have to keep your head about you, and I mean both of you. We, as people who recognise our right to control our bodies and what we put into them, need to stay on our toes.

It's not fair, and it certainly isn't right, but it's the way it is (for now). The filth right now seem to have a huge hard-on for pursuing the "perpetrators" of victimless crimes such as ourselves.

Stay strong, stay calm, and I'm sure things won't be as bad as they may seem right now. Lastly, I'd like to say this: Keep your head up, bro. You and your girl have done NOTHING wrong.
