Can dogs detect water cured mj?
permalink

I recently read a thread that listed all the different terpenoids and canabinoids and remember reading a comment about dogs not smelling THC but another compound called mycerin or myacin (or something like that). They also commented that water curing washes away the terpenoids. Will water curing wash away the compound that the dogs detect?

Even if the compound was water soluble, I bet it would still have lingering odors.

Might reduce the chances of detection though. Dogs miss drugs too.

The smell and taste maybe, but not the potency. That's why I was wondering about it, the other thread mentioned that when you water cure, you are washing away the terpenoids that give it smell and flavor.

I'm wondering if the terpenoid that mj dogs are trained to smell for washes away with a water cure.

Sounds like a solid hypothesis

Thatd be something to test on an actual drug dog.

Either finding out the hard way, or if you happen to know a civilian K9 trainer/operator.

Dude that beast will smell it. If it comes within a few feet of it, pretty much no matter how its packaged, it will smell it. Fucking things. Even if its water cured, probably still stinks to a mongrel!
