Ummm, when We got free from England for one example Not too much since then.

I can see two sides to this, but I assure you there is a lot of difference from a rancher that uses a gun as a tool to keep the coyotes off his sheep and the freezer full of deer and elk, than there is from the inner city where you have to hold your pistol sideways to be cool

Here where I live in the land of cowboys and rednecks nearly everyone is armed at least at home, and we have the lowest crime rate per capita than any of the rest of the US--even lower than the UKs. Very rarely does someone get shot AND very rarely does someones house get broke into either.

I do not currently own a firearm however I have been lusting after the AR-15 for some time now. Were I to purchase a gun ONLY for the purpose of home defense I would get a double barreled shotgun. Nothing says, "Get the F out of my house!!" like having both barrels pointed at your chest. There would be no warning shot fired....I pull that trigger and you're shaking hands with the Devil. That said I do keep my trusty baseball bat handy in the bedroom as well as a giant roofing hammer hidden in the kitchen. In my hands, one blow from that hammer will do more damage than a round from most of those guns you guys have listed as owning. A straight jab with that hammer would cave in ribs and I don't even wanna guess what kind've damage an open swing would do...prolly remove 1/2 of someone's head so yes that hammer makes Thor proud. So, well, yeah, anyone thinking about robbing the OhioSmoker...make sure you shoot quick and you don't miss (or wing me) 'cause otherwise you're doomed.

never keep guns where you grow

never never

cops will see this as an agression if you ever get pinched-
it will be in question when appearing b4 judge
and you will look like a violent drug dealer in there eyes

it makes the over all picture look different than a peaceful hippy looking to get his medicine

thats why it worked for the hippys in the 70s - they ran around sayingthings like peace and love man

i own a gun also - im not against them - but i dont feel the need to own more than one

i dont keep it any where near were i grow - or on the same property

having guns spread around your house in every room makes it look as if your waiting for leo to bust in unexpectidly and you want to be ready

just funning, im pretty sure having something like an UN-registered gun would throw up some red flags if my place was ever searched.
Youll all be happy to know, my guns are no longer scattered around the house. Rifle in the closet now and handguns in my new safe. It was a really good deal at Costco. $229.99 for a "Biometric Lock"-fingerprint type. I was looking for the fingerprint type for easy access, plus electronic lock. But most of what i was finding were in the 300-350 price range and barely big enough to hold a handgun.

Yeah, even though I am 100% behind our right to bear arms, I've got to agree with not having them where you grow!! Nothing good could come from it. But I don't grow at home and don't keep more than a few days worth of stash there. I would never go armed to one of my guerrilla farms--Sounds like a good way to get shot by a LEO or getting a severe sentence at the least.

This is very true, but I believe TV shows, movies and what not, have led people to believe that every gun is a killer weapon.

I would hope every gun owner realizes and knows what firearm they are in possession of. Meaning I know my state and I am sure most states have a search function on the Department of law enforcement site for gun serial numbers. Because not every gun is a first owner gun and I would hope that you research it for your own peace of mind.

I have a concealed carry license and so does my wife.

I carry a Springfield Armory XD-40 Sub Compact..40 Caliber

My wife carries a Bersa Thunder Concealed Carry model .380 ACP with Hydra Shoks

Next to the bed is in 18.5in barrel (for tight corners in the house) 12gauge shotgun loaded with 00 buckshot and a slug mixed in here and there. All guns are loaded except one in the chamber since they are handled often. They aren't toys, but I've came close to getting shot twice in 6 months during various robberies that have happened to people and businesses I've gone to. It's a crazy world out there and when seconds count and someone is in your house the cops are minutes away. I'd rather go to jail for having some plants and firearms then some sucker with a gun break in and kill me with one. This is my castle.
