g'day

I guess it all depends on where you live, and how you feel. I think if I lived in some parts of LA , I wouldnt feel safe even with a cruise missile in my bag. Best not to live in those parts of LA, but hey , if ya got no choice ....

we have recently had a couple of massacre / hamburger seesions of the Columbine type down here. Our statue makers have said No Military Weapons for You Lot !
And only a few ( ex army ) complained. Most of us said " Fair Enough " ....

And I only need one round for a feral target. They r small, and to them, a .22 looks like a cruise missile

Its a TOZ ( yup, my ID in these parts ) Mk IIa . Built just outside Moscow
Its the ONLY sporting .22 that will handle a full floating barrel. It ( i cant quite ) will put 5 rounds thru the same hole at 50 yards. But I do like blowing out candles with it
( u hit the candle , and you LOOSE numbnuts )

If some slug tried to Do Bad Shit , I might put one thru his ear ( not his head ! ) I just wanna put the Fear of God into the bastard, make him crap himself, then casually walk up and knock him on his ass.

Our cops will just put 3 slugs in ya chest. They r real skilled pro's huh ? Down at the club I shot with, we all thought they were just SO ( UN ) SKILLED !!!
Even our army think they r a pack of plonkers. Hey, fair enuff if ya GOT to, but sheeet...

Like the Black Powder bro ! we think they r nuts and bravest bastards out there ( but WTF do we know ??? ) They just smile and say " get bent "

Luger ! Nice. Made by RheineMetal Borsig ??? Luger is the " model " name if my data / bizzo is correct ( shit, it may not be.....would be the first / last time .....) I wanna TRY one of those things one day.....could be an RM or RMB manufacturers stamp somewhere.
thats my kool read. Toz

Do you have weapons ready WHEN needed or are they LOCKED away ?
Or being, peace loving, hippy growers, do you not like guns ? lol, Just a redneck trying to be funny, dont take it personal.
I have a Ruger Blackhawk New model .30 Carbine. Its got a ton of power, and loud enough to make a grown man piss himself if I were to miss. It weighs 3.5 pounds empty, so a good crack on the noodle with it would put ya to sleep. (Does the M1 Carbine take the same bullets? I think it does)
For a quieter home defense, I have a Glock 81 Combat knife. Its a beauty! 6.5 inch blade, all black, 440 steel, and a bottle opener for my convenience.

I love guns, and would love to have a Glock 21, but can't afford it....Someday......

My first handgun purchase back in '93, hands down my favorite, is a Sigarms P229 .40 with night sights, 12 in the mag, balanced and very easy to acquire the target ... a good winter carry piece. In the summer (less clothing to conceal ) I'll be carrying a recent purchase, a Browning model 1955 hammerless 380 made in Belgium by FN. A fine compact precision piece

btw .. anyone going to Knob Creek the first weekend in April?? Tried to get there last fall without success ... so this will be my first time Here's a link ... Knob Creek Gun Range

No guns in my house.
I have a fully automatic 7.62 rifle, but I do not keep it loaded, or even assembeled. I got two kids in the house so that is never an option.
I do have an aluminum bat handy for late night callers.
By the way I do not live in the US so shooting unwanted guests is not an option to me.
I believe the world would be a better place if no weapons existed.
Peace, love and prosperity to all

I've heard that said before MoJo ... and would agree with you if "man" was created (or evolved) a bit differently than we have. Without greed, hate, or the natural instinct to survive ... this world would be quite a different place. In lieu of that scenario, guns are needed to protect ourselves from all the "animals" out there. Without guns ... as we are ... people would be killing each other with knives, baseball bats, or bricks for that matter.

If one thing was taken out of the equation: religion, Then, there would be a lot more "Peace, love and prosperity" in this world .... imho
