I personally have firearms 3 different places in my home. A 38. special revolver in my bathroom, 30-06 semi-auto rifle in my office, and a S&W Sigma 40.cal on my night stand. ALL are fully loaded, minus 1 in the chambers of the auto's and 1 out of the revolver so the hammers/pin on an empty chambers. I have "Hydro-Shock Hollow Points" in the pistols, this is for introducing my self with authority to uninvited guests. There is No such thing as a warning shot. Oh, i do highly recommend having a "throw away" to put in there hands just in case they are dumb enough to come in un-armed. LOL. See my thread in Latest News about "1 dies in home invasion". Do you have weapons ready WHEN needed or are they LOCKED away ? Or being, peace loving, hippy growers, do you not like guns ? lol, Just a redneck trying to be funny, dont take it personal. | Remington 870 in the bedroom, and either an H&K USP 40 (winter) or Kel Tec P3AT (summer) for concealed carry. I live alone and except for an occasional get together it's just my girlfriend that's over here so they're always loaded and ready to go. If I had kids around I'd have to totally re-think that. Anyway, you just never know when you're going to have to defend yourself. In my case I hope I never do... | ||

| Alarm system would definatly not work for me! Don't most of those automaticaly send police over if you don't call it and cancel it if you don't put in the code or do it incorrectly? I was thinking about a handgun for safety, but I think I'm pretty chill right now I'm with analog on this one, baseball bat....meh and a golf club....9-iron

| I agree with KasperMan420, indoor growers don't want an alarm system calling the police to the house. My two dogs are my alarm system, without giving up any of my privacy to some outside contractor, who I would know nothing about.
